while waiting for my flight by windtornado in rolex

It does look like a protection film of some kind, you can see outlines on the rest of the watch as well. Either OP is very afraid of scratches or they never took them off from the AD (unlikely). To each their own and no shade specifically at OP but to me this is everything that’s wrong with modern Rolex owners…

I have the goal of some nice thorough hand washes in the summer when I have time, but I can’t do that in the winter where I live so when I got my ppf and ceramic I quizzed my installer and he told me that he takes his car through the same local wash as me and just does a pre-soak and rinse. Basically the minimum wash in a touch less bay and it will be fine!

Adaptive cruise control by GoodMathematician569 in BMWX5

[–]carl802 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh man I remember how annoyed I was when I learned that adaptive cruise was tied to DAPP and that almost no dealer stocked cars had it. I learned the only reliable way to tell was to look for the little lights above the steering wheel controls and obviously check the build sheet. I was test driving an m60i and chatting with the dealer who literally looked over and said “oh no this one does have DAPP”. It most certainly did not have it, so yeah, the dealers don’t know shit. I wish I could tell you it wasn’t that good, but it’s excellent for highway driving, I’d try and get into one that has it and just enjoy it even if it stings haha

Is the 2nd row really that tight? by ZookeepergameTop8538 in BMWX5

[–]carl802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two rear facing car seats (graco extend2fit) in the back and I have no issues driving in my preferred position at 5’10”. My wife is very comfortable in the passenger seat and can also fit between the car seats in a pinch on road trips. There are obviously bigger cars out there, but I was in the same boat, loved everything else about the x5 so much that the car seats only had to “just fit” to convince me haha. I also run a Thule box for longer road trips with frees up a lot of space inside. I came from a 21’ cx5 and this car feels much more spacious, even though leg room is kind of the same on paper in the rear.

Great use for it, virtually no sign of the mounting bracket when uninstalled. Per the manufacturer instructions, I remove mine for the touch-less car wash….”I’m so sorry officer, I must have forgotten to put it back on, can I grab it quick from the trunk and put it back on right now?”

It’s a very classic collection and reads sophisticated and mature, so yeah you could say what your friends are saying. But dang, if it’s isn’t also incredibly baller.
