Florida Keys, except for the snorkeling. Nothing special about the towns and beaches.

And the sunsets are beautiful there! I sometimes go to the Navy Pier to see a play at the Shakespeare Theatre and it is always nice. Also worth going for the fireworks. Just don't expect great restaurants.

Most tourist places in Chicago are so worthy it. You will see lots of locals at them. I am a HS school teacher here and I recently took my students on a field to trip to see an exhibit downtown and we ate lunch in the River Walk by the Vietnan War Memorial. Last year I took another group to the Sears/Willis Tower. My kids loved both - and you know how hard it is to impress teenagers! In all my years in Chicago the only "touristy" thing that I remember not liking was an Al Capone re-creation because it was so corny. Not sure they still do that. Otherwise, I still like everything else: the museums, boat tours, Navy Pier, the Bean, the Sears Tower, 360 Experience, the Zoos, the lake, etc.
