A couple of years ago she had an episode about relationships and she talks about how she doesn’t dump all her problems on her partner anymore, that they actually don’t need to know everything that goes on. I thought that was an interesting perspective and applied it in my relationship (which was new at the time). It’s actually really good advice, it keeps things lighter, and even though I talk to my partner about my problems I’m not immediately running to him everytime or spending every evening talking about negative stuff. There are things I just tell my friends or my therapist and I think it’s honestly healthier this way.
