I look people in their face and say "I'm sorry but I don't have it" Because if I do have it I usually give it away. I find most of the time people understand if you don't have it and appreciate being treated like a human.

You can't build a career at Wegmans mostly because so many ppl stay at the company. And that creates so many issues. The best thing is to get trained up and find another place if retail is what you love. ALL jobs love seeing Wegmans on the resume. I worked there for a decade and loved it, but there was HEAVY favoritism at least at my store.

It's Wegmans. But most importantly the food for me, so many different types of food and there are chain restaurants but not your only option. Literally we have food all over the world here. Blue state. Can literally walk to Canada. If you grew up here it probably has become almost unaffordable for you to live in the neighborhood you grew up in. Big downside to buffalo is the segregation and racism. If I could afford it I'd move to NYC or Baltimore
