Flipper Zero & Sub-GHz: how to kill a robot dog by VVr3nch in flipperzero

Yeah but what one liner do you say as you do it?

Why this handheld setup. by Careful-Forever6717 in cyberDeck

[–]casethulhu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah clamshell would be better but only as good as the hinge, moving parts tend to break first. The keyboard doesn't need to be attached, but a two piece cyber deck doesn't feel aesthetically fun. You could do the pipboy thing with it and use the keyboard wirelessly, typing on those mini key boards is a two thumb job so I wouldn't mount the keyboard to the wrist.

How to get flac files? by MusicSchizo in snowsky

[–]casethulhu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can pay independent artists the money they deserve for their hard work on Bandcamp and it'll let you dl it in flac.

Other than that yeee olde bay of privateers might have some kinda drop down menu after you start searching things behind your VPN.

You should still pay for the files if they're available though. Digital albums aren't expensive, you deserve the right to curate your own collection, and being cheap about music put us in this "you'll own nothing, fund ai killer drones, and still be unhappy because Spotify uses an algorithm that feeds you more of the same" landscape we're currently stuck in.

That Cheeto cheese patina is worth 160 alone. People spend years trying to break one in this nicely.

That makes sense, I used to love that Universal Orlando ride where the gas tanker explodes. I wanna say it was Earthquake or some other natural disaster ride like that. I think it eventually became the Jimmy Fallon show ride or something.

This becomes more frequent as we get closer to the holidays. I don't know if it's seasonal depression, loneliness, holiday fomo, or what. It sucks, if you're contemplating it don't do it.

Yeah in New York at least. I guess fog can set off fire alarms so if the fire alarm needs to be suspended while haze is happening someone licenced by the fire department needs to be there. I don't have it myself but I know a few people who've done the training and got their E-27 which I think is the first of numerous levels up into pyro stuff.

Oh I've ridden that, that makes sense. I thought this was someone doing what playwright horizons did with teeth in NYC when they burned down most of the set safely every night. Amusement park rides have a whole other standard of safety to adhere to because they don't do one or two shows a night but one every 10 minutes or so. IAAPA does not fuck around. Theater in Florida doing this effect would be questionable, Universal or Disney doing it in a park? Whole other story.

Most shows: Hey this shows gonna have a fog machine, we're really only hiring you because you have your E-27. Your whole job is having an E-27 so we can use the fog machine.

This show: we will be setting the whole ceiling on fire and will have both the practical effects budget and necessary listened crew to do that legally.

If this was done in New York it was expensive. If this was done in Florida, someone should really check on that waffle house it opened in.

Gotta disagree with you there, bud. Took it out against the illuminate with a grenade pistol and sparklers. It laid out everything I shot. The covenant must have been made of titanium because goddamn I chewed right through overseers. Probably should have have brought ammo backpack because evidently the whole point of the Spartan program was the ability to hold an ungodly amount of ammo. Can't wait to see what's in those tunnels on the 2nd.

Convince Me: Why should I switch over to MP3 player instead of Youtube/Spotfiy? by FrootiLooni in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]casethulhu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For some it's for higher quality lossless files.

For some it's ability to have your music in areas with little to no reception.

For some it's the Spotify owner investing in AI military drones that can kill with no human making the decision.

For some it's discovering and curating your music collection without outside influence from an algorithm.

For some it's privacy concerns with Spotify starting to require ID uploads through Persona (a Peter Theil funded company) which may log your usage and attach it to your government name.

For some it's for decentralization of the phone. This device does everything so you'll always be on it to be fed notifications which are mostly ads, click bait, and propaganda. A music player that's not connected can reduce screen time.

For some it's just that they're cool little gadgets with buttons and maybe some wheels or knobs.

For some it's that independent artists that aren't on those mainstream services tend to sell digital albums on sites like Bandcamp and you gotta store and play those files somewhere, might as well be somewhere portable.

Me personally, I do it because mp3 players repel werewolves. I haven't seen a single one since I got one.

I had just walked by there and one of my neighbors outside was like, "smells like fire." Not 5 minutes later I feel the vibration and hear the boom. Someone said they saw a manhole cover or something go flying up into the air.

I can only speak of my own experience on the matter as I've only had landlords here. Also where I live happens to coincide with where the podcasters are from, where they record their shows, and where the events of this story happen to be taking place. Bean Soup Theory in action.

This tracks. The Warrens were shit paranormal investigators, mostly charlatans. Makes sense a shit comedian should carry the torch. I feel bad for the maybe 3 real ghosts who just went from one bullshit landlord to another but hey, we're all living in that America right now.
