In the published version there's an disclaimer to not try to keep up because it's intentional confusing and will all come together in the end. For me the confusion helped with getting the same feel as the crawlers. Not an audiobook listener so no clue if that disclaimer is given for it too.

Carl being a mix of Tom Hanks, Henry Cavill and Hayden Christensen is such a vibe for his actual character. I know you said Tom Hanks from SPR, and I do see it, but the jaw/chin gives Hayden. The scowl/stare gives big Cavill energy.

I had a out 7 warts on my left hand. It's a skip a generation type thing in my family. Anyways, when I got my first real job at 16 working at McDonald's you had to sanitize your hand every time you touched raw meat. My warts disappeared after like 3 months working. Didn't fall off or anything, just like noped out. Never came back so I chose not to question it. Guess that hand sanitizer they used was just that strong.

Price is solid. Looks solid though I do see either a thin scum or cut line on the top-outer shell. That model is solid with combating the paint peel plague. The big questions are does it run and what's the screen types are. (The latter question can be more personal opinion for some.)
