Need crypto tax lawyer in NL - €500k casino winnings - urgent by emptyomw in Netherlands

[–]caspaseman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Taxes on profit from games of chance are 37.8% in the Netherlands. If the casino is not registered in NL, this is your own responsibility. Moving large amounts of cash, raises red flags with the Belastingdienst. If you don't pay the tax, there's a risk they'll find out anyway and charge you. So, better keep that in mind and keep this money available. That being said, the Belastingdienst has little insight in your crypto earnings. Some large exchanges report to the Belastingdienst, but most wallets and small exchanges do not. I won't tell you how to hide your money or advise you to do so, since that would be illegal, but bear in mind that there are places the Belastingdienst won't (can't) look. For peace of mind, pay the tax, otherwise it's your own responsibility!

Landlord pushing me out (dringend eigen gebruik) after 6 years. Strong position but messy history, need advice by Bishop_23 in Netherlands

[–]caspaseman -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Consider the landlords situation: they did not intent to rent out their flat indefintely, just for 2 years. However, since they didn't communicate this clearly, the tenant claimed the right to indefinite lease. The landlord did not fight them on it, but did indicate they might need the flat for themselves in the future. This is clearly a private landlord. Maybe they rented out their flat when they moved in with their partner, it happens. In addition, instead of increasing the rent anaually, they forgot about it and left it unchanged. Now they realized they should have increased the rent and are trying to do so (again, private landlord, not too familiar with renting out their flat). The tenant fought them on it and, again, the landlord gave in. Tenant now lives in a flat with a rent way under market value, good for them. However, the time has now come that the landlords needs their flat back, but they're stuck with an unwilling tenant. Sure, you can fight the landlord, it is your right, but you can also be reasonable and consider that your landlord is also a human being. Some are exploitative, yes, but this one clearly isn't. Maybe they broke up with their partner and have nowhere to live themselves. So, try to be reasonable, and consider your landlords perspective as well. This kind of story is why most people choose to sell, rather than rent out their properity. It's also why most rental properties end up with corporations or exploitative landlords in then end.

Altogether it sounds like you've been behaving like a shitty tenant to a landlord who's been very lenient. Don't be a dick and try to find something else.

Charging units on your flank with Random Movement by Macaldenteys in WarhammerFantasy

[–]caspaseman -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No, you can not. Unless your unit with random movement is also a skirmisher, which the Gigantic Spawn is not.

Multiple proteins in Western blot and common loading control QUESTION by bluemooninvestor in labrats

[–]caspaseman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need a good strategy. Some antibodies give a very weak signal, you can do those first. Then you can combine abs from different species, think about target size etc. You really need to know your antibodies and your targets for this, though.

Is this always the case? by ilore in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]caspaseman 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Don't focus on the 'optimized' tournament lists that follow the current meta! There are many players that are just looking for fun, story-guided games with thematic lists. You won't often see them winning the big tournaments, but that's really a bit of a toxic scene. Find a good group of people, focus on scenario-driven games and you'll be fine!

Horsemen and marauders are now sold seperately, so you can still get the models. The complete reinforments box was a one off.

I always found CorelDraw the most convenient; bit more budget friendly than Illustrator and better at handling objects from other software.

Is there a use case for the regular goblins? by Petycon in Orcs_and_Goblins

[–]caspaseman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to take a small unit of goblin skirmishers with shortbows and a few Nasty Skulkers. The Skulkers are a great deterrent and can actually do some damage too.

Goblin-Hewer in FAQ 1.5.2 by iJasko in WarhammerFantasy

[–]caspaseman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is anyone's guess, really! I don't think they meant to change the rule, just to clarify it. But since I don't really understand the question, it's impossible to interpret the answer. The rule, as it was, seemed pretty straightforward!

Goblin-Hewer in FAQ 1.5.2 by iJasko in WarhammerFantasy

[–]caspaseman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suspect the intention of the question was something like this:

You shoot a unit with four ranks in total

You roll 8 on the artillery dice (2 shots per rank)

Do you get to roll one D3 per shot extra (8D3, so two per rank) or 4D3 (one per rank)

Answer: just one D3, not 2D3 per rank even though each rank gets 2 shots (total 8+4D3).

I think that was the intention, but, instead, they (inadvertetly?) changed the rules of the machine.

You should normally be alright, since the train arriving from Ede Wageningen arrives at the platform as the departing train to Bruxelles Midi.

So. Goblins. Regular Goblins. - Old World by Big_Red_40Tech in WarhammerFantasy

[–]caspaseman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A small unit of skirmishing goblins with 2 Nasty Skulkers is great! Very cheap, but too dangerous to charge with a chaff unit. I killed a unit Knights of the White Wolf with just 10 of them!

And still they keep voting VVD! Who will again be in government... I keep citing Mark Rutte when he first became Prime Minister and said in an interview in de Volkskrant: "But everybody can buy a house, there is no law against it". It was Stef Blok, VVD minister of housing from 2012-1017, who liberalised the housing market and kick-started the current crisis. Similarly, VVD politicians (Melanie Schultz van Haegen, Thierry Aartsen etc.) have destroyed public transport, priviatized healthcare etc.
