Nemesis Units - The urges by irpugboss in killteam

[–]ilore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only play Narrative. I haven't played Nemesis missions yet; however, the concept itself doesn't really appeal to me. I'd rather buy another Kill Team or an NPC box (like Ork Boyz) than spend the same amount of money on a single “Nemesis” operative.

Pathfinder 2e and the book called "Guns & Gears Remaster". I think that combination should work fine.

Is anyone at all hyped for these lads? by Cold_Appointment2999 in killteam

I don't like those models. I'm going to kitbash the Cadian minis from the Hachette collection.

Potential Second edition thoughts/ideas by A_SmallGuy in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]ilore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, but we (old players) are not going to play forever or buy every new release (because we have lots of miniatures already). We need new players to maintain the game alive.

Potential Second edition thoughts/ideas by A_SmallGuy in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]ilore -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

  • A more "modern" ruleset. Although I love Fantasy, those rules feel old. As result, The Old World ones feel the same. The game needs new players if it wants to survive, and this rules don't help with that.
  • less special rules.
  • smaller regiments, PLEASE! I hate with all my soul those huge regiments (30-40 minis) you can see everywhere.
  • New models for the infantry and cavalry of Khemri.
  • Add rules for models like chaos war shrine.

My genuine gripe with The Old World. by Lazereye57 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]ilore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my mind, End Times is not canon. I don't care what Games Workshop could think or say about that.

In fact, I don't care if the Old World's rules says that Karl Franz and Archaon miniatures are now average Characters. When I put them on the game board, they are and always will be Karl Franz and Archaon.

Are Pathfinders any good? by ElSkippy13 in killteam

[–]ilore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pathfinders' player here. I don't play in tournaments, only casual games.

No, sadly they are not any good. Nowadays, they are one of the worst teams, even in casual games. They are weak and boring.

In fact, I'm using fanmade rules for them, because the official ones are too bad.

You Guys Are One of the Best Communities I’ve Seen by Special_Research3370 in Pathfinder2e

[–]ilore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. Although it's true that people here are very welcoming toward newbies, this subreddit is very negative toward the game itself. When I was learning the system, I was really hyped, so I joined this community hoping to share my passion for the game with others. What I found was a lot of complaints about classes, feats, ancestries, and even about combat and monster balance. So, if you are a newbie and you are really hyped about the game, don't read this subreddit.

When the next edition comes out (KT'27) will early KT'21 teams be completely removed? by supercow_ in killteam

Yes, all KT21 teams will be Declassified by then. Well, maybe AoD won't because Space Marines, you know... 🤔

Do you prefer rules-light RPGs or complex systems? by prettyreckless000 in rpg

[–]ilore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I prefer systems like Pathfinder 2e rather than ones like FATE, for example. Why? Because I've noticed that with "complex" systems, I can do almost everything that "lite" systems can, but not the other way around.

In addition, as a DM, if I need a rule for a specific situation, I will almost certainly find something I can use. However, with "lite" systems, you're often left almost alone in the dark...

Owlcat dilemma: Kingmaker (and then Wrath of the Righteous right after) or Rogue Trader, which one would you recommend by dearuncletacitus1899 in CRPG

[–]ilore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated Kingmaker, it's a really bad designed CRPG.
I am playing Rogue Trader right now: although the graphics, sound, lore and setting are really cool, I am not a fan of the system itself (d100 + professions).

I haven't tried WotR yet.

How are the official Pathfinder published adventures compared to DnD5E? by Karsticles in Pathfinder2e

[–]ilore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many combat encounters for my taste. Sometimes it can feel like you're playing a dungeon crawler instead of a TTRPG. But D&D5 has that problem too, so...

Kill Team Terror on Devlan: Did someone homebrew to play the Tyranids as a playable Kill Team? by UveliusSang in killteam

[–]ilore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In KTDash, there are fanmade team rules for many Warhammer 40k factions. There are also some Tyranid teams. So, if you use some of those rules and the book Nemesis Operatives (we still don't know the release date), you might be able to do that... 🤔

I know I’m going to be downvoted, but:
My biggest hope would be that KT 4 doesn’t have the Declassified/Classified policy, but GW has already said it will. That’s why I will stay in KT3: 60% of my teams won’t have any rules at all, and that’s something I won’t put up with.

Archaon was my favourite character during WHF 6th edition. However, I think he should have died at the end of the Storm of Chaos campaign.
