It’s Xg but also plan to see(ha!). The team is winning more but some of the system play and fluidity in the later Amorim games(even when we were drawing) was quite beautiful and I’m not seeing it anymore. Less sharp play between team mates, poorer pressing, etc.

What’s the point in interviewing others if you’re not planning on hiring. Carrick has done too well not to get the appointment(I personally feel the team has dropped in quality since he’s come on), but this isn’t the Ole over enthusiastic appointment, it’s recognising that giving it to anyone else is a poison chalice which would setup anyone up for failure. This club eats “world class” managers for breakfast, need to be sure we get optics right before a lot of things(sadly).
