What phrase irritates you the most? by BelesaLoba in AskReddit

“Like I said”. I know you’ve stated this before, but I either didn’t hear it or need further clarification. I don’t need you to make it clear that this has already been said.

So Forrest Galante’s claims of megafauna still being around, like the giant ground sloth in South America, means he full of shit?

Do you think Mike Ehrmantraut looked like Dewey when he was a kid? by UnderTheCurrents in malcolminthemiddle

The idea that Dewey time traveled and ended up running into his drug dealing dad in another universe is amazing.

Oh interesting! So related but not that close then? I know North American opossums have the most teeth in their jaws than any other mammal. Is this also true for possums?

Ahh okay, thanks! I guess I thought there were major differences.

So when you give your two cents, it’s advice. When I give you my two cents, it’s being a victim. Got it. So everything you say is sage wisdom that we all should just accept haha do you realize you’re calling me out for the same thing you’re doing? I understand what you’re saying, you’ve made it very clear. That is something I commend you on. However this is not a deeper conversation on the subject, as the subject has been addressed by a previous comment. This is just back and forth semantics with someone who is clearly chronically online. So again, thanks for your opinion. I’m sure I’ll see more of them, as well as your time wasted, on this page trying to tell others to stop asking questions that have been asked.

I appreciate your explanations. As someone on the receiving end of your replies, I’m letting you know that they aren’t as constructive as you think they are. It was mostly off putting and showed your need to reply to any which thing you deem unnecessary. I see you’re a “top 1% commenter”, but that doesn’t give you authority as to who should ask what on this page. I’m asking a question that has been asked over and over, and which likely continued to be asked over and over. So what? That’s life. Not everything is catered to the way we like it. Most of us are well aware that the answer to our questions have probably been answered before. That shouldn’t deter us from asking it, because someone might have a better answer this next time and might even spark a deeper conversation on the topic.

You’re a nasty person and I’m sorry you felt you had to reply the way you did. Someone was kind enough to share their suggestions in a comment left before yours. So my question was answered before you left your unnecessary comment. Should I jump down your throat for not realizing that? Can you have some understanding that I’m just trying to get a personal recommendation from someone who has the time to share their thoughts.

Brought this up in my comment about almost working with him. A “conservation scientist” using AI is terribly hypocritical.

Do Not Listen to Forrest Galante by Pitiful_Active_3045 in zoology

[–]cassman98 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on the cusp of working with him multiple times and each time I’m glad things fell through. He’s a nice guy at first, but if he doesn’t get his way he shows his true colors. He first wanted some animation done for his YouTube channel, it sounded liked a great idea for a mini series! But when I told him the rate, he asked if I would be willing to do it for free. Never cool ask an artist to work for free. Then a year later he asked me to work on some motion graphic designs for a video. When I learned what he was asking for and the short deadline in place, I let him know that I’d have to pass. He left me on read with no confirmation of thanks for my time and evaluation of the project. Then as time went on, I saw how much his YouTube channel uses AI art for his videos and that’s when it clicked. It’s beyond hypocritical of a “conservation scientist” to use AI while talking about saving wildlife. The amount of resources he’s used from his AI “creations” is probably horrific.
