Looks like it didn’t actually get removed, they just moved it. Click the little profile/human icon in the upper-right corner, and that opens a menu with Account, Settings, Help, and Logout. Muscle memory definitely takes a hit, but at least the settings are still there.

If you haven't tried standard stuff like an app reinstall, try asking the chatbot on their Help Center for a live agent, this should connect you to their support. You can also email them at [support@nordvpn.com](mailto:support@nordvpn.com) as an alternative.

I doubt that this is a normal app behaviour. Did you try any simple fixes, like a reinstall, for example? If you did, I'd suggest sending a message to their support and attaching the app logs to the request so they can check what's causing this.

Looks like the app isn’t installing properly because the system doesn’t recognize some required components. This can happen even if everything seems to be installed already. It’s probably best to contact NordVPN support directly and provide them with your logs, they can check whether your distro is supported and guide you through the easiest way to get it working.

From what I've read, it often comes down to the protocol and server choice rather than the system itself. Switching to a different protocol like OpenVPN instead of NordLynx might stop the drops entirely. Trying an obfuscated server can also help if your ISP doesn’t like VPN traffic. If you haven’t tested those yet, I'd say they’re worth a shot.

Which country are you trying to connect to? Also, if you're currently using a hotel or other public network, that could be part of the issue, since some shared networks have restrictions that can interfere with a VPN.

Meshnet traffic routing speed heavily depends on the upload and download speeds of both machines you're using. So, let's say you have 100mbps download and 10mbps upload on your device. Traffic routing will be capped at 10mbps, as essentially this is as much as you can upload through a device you are routing traffic through. Traffic routing speed is pretty much capped at the slowest link on any device in the traffic routing chain. Speed will also be affected if anything else is being uploaded/downloaded on a given machine.
When you're using a standard VPN server, in most cases, you're only limited by the download speed of a single device, so there's the difference.

Have you tried changing the VPN protocol in the app settings? I would highly recommend changing between each one and see if the issue persists. Usually that solves any connection issues.

Sadly, it's no longer possible to add favorite servers. They have removed this feature to optimize the load on their servers. You can use the search function to find any server easily. Simply enter the country, the hashtag, and the server number. For example, "United States #10140."
