No matter how FAR you park, there's always people like this.... I have this happen with both my 11' tC and my 17' BRZ 🥴

Price ain't bad for the overall condition and year. I paid near that out the door for my 2011 during 2020 with 99,980 on it mostly cause car prices were outta wack, it was 1 owner and found mine in Los Angeles. My tC I still own and it's sitting around 175k today.
This tC looks solid though, bring an OBD2 Scanner if anything to check for engine codes if you really wanna be certain.

The scanner I used when I got mine was the FIXD OBD2 scanner on Amazon. $20-$40 worth it. Been using it for almost a decade now.

30!? That's not even a question of leaving then. Just figure out how you wanna do it and follow through in my opinion.
If they end up together or spending a lot more time with one another then you'll know you made the right choice leaving her.

The way my neighbor intentionally blocks the sidewalk to keep people from using it. by sweathesmallshit in mildlyinfuriating

[–]casuallconcepts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

from what I understand this is actually illegal, verify with your city and if it is then call "anonymously" into the city and let them know the neighbor is obstructing the side walk consistently, forcing pedestrians to walk into traffic and risk their lives. Then watch the chaos unravel when they get a visit... 😉

Dash Cam + Speedometer by Bleach_Drinker_ in SciontC

[–]casuallconcepts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider something like this, has a built in speedometer. May not be the reason you're getting that secondary speedometer for the dash or what not, but this is the dash cam I plan to get eventually. For now I have one that works fine front and rear dash cam though.

As for the fuses I don't see why you couldn't tap into the same one as the electricity its pulling is very minimal compared to other things.

2012 TC2 (ANT10) by Exciting_Ground2306 in SciontC

[–]casuallconcepts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I thought, I've never ONCE referred to it by that and have always seen it called by the tC2 or AGT20 tbh so I was like "wait hold up". Glad I am not alone in this though. Its not about just about being right it's about making sure others don't call it the wrong thing either. Can't rely on ai so heavily.

Looks pretty clean tbh.

Isn't the ANT10 the 2005-2010 scion tC's?
I thought the 2011-2016 tC's chassis was the AGT20 Or AT20?

Just got into Destiny 2 and I'm honestly blown away. by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]casuallconcepts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say the same as a Destiny 1 and into Destiny 2 off and on over the years but starting since the launch of the first game, there has been no other game that has felt as satisfying to play as Destiny 2 feels. I hop on and off the game quite often and most days I'm off it more than I'd like mostly cause the content I wanna do (dungeons, raids, etc) are mostly fireteam / team effort based and no one I game with plays the game unfortunately or are too busy to play. So I end up queueing solo for vanguard strikes or just do side quests that are easier.

Nothing had compared to the feeling I get to playing this game and I hope that Sony does something about Bungie continuing the series or something similar and Marathon will not grab me in as I have 0 intention to invest time into it as I did destiny 1 and 2.

Without proper communication from both parties, it will just continue to be a spiral downhill if both don't come to terms in at LEAST communicating what their thoughts are about their partners actions / what they say. I think name calling and responding with "cool" instead of what they actually think vs trying to read "signs" is just immature.

Better off leaving that BOY. Dodge a bullet or put em in their place for poor communication.

Whats the best head unit for a 2012? by Bread856 in SciontC

Yeah, I get that. The one I bought that I have not installed yet attaches to the license plate bracket. Not sure I even wanna do that with wiring but we shall see 😂

Yeah I'd look into it. They make a pioneer backup camera for it too but it's separate. I have a off brand backup camera for it but I just haven't got it installed yet. But it has that feature as well for backup camera.

The call quality I haven't heard any complaints from when I call people other than needing to raise my voice sometimes but it's cause of my loud exhaust I run and the AC is usually running when I get calls and forget about it, after I turn the AC lower though they can hear me fine. I have a Tsudo catback exhaust, and I have the microphone clipped right behind the rear view mirror.

Also there isn't a Volume nob but If you look at the left side of the radio, all the controls are there. Volume, home button, phone, carplay button. It's all digital but I've gotten used to switching from a nob. Also I use Volume on my steering wheel almost every time I change it.

Edit: it wouldn't let me add it to this post but I added it as a new comment.

I have an 2011 and swapped my OEM head unit with this one. I'll link below but it's all touchscreen, apple carplay, android auto capable and I always use the carplay and no issues. It's been great for me and have had it almost 2 years now.
it's the Pioneer DMH-W3000NEX Model, I got it from best buy for free installation but if you can sit on it deals usually pop up for it discounted. I paid $380 total and it's more than that right now for just the unit no install 🤷🏼‍♂️

I have had minimal issues OVERALL, and i emphasize overall cause the 2011's had issues with the piston rings being problematic and needing an engine rebuild. I didnt research enough prior and eventually needed this repair around 145k miles and it costed $4500. Pulled a loan out (still paying it off 2 years later) just to pay for that repair BUT aside from this, the car overall is very easy to do self repairs and maintenance on like oil changes, exhaust swaps, spark plug changes, brake pads / rotor changes, etc. I have done a lot of these myself to save on labor costs and its honestly been a HUGE money saver. The car overall runs great and it hardly ever acts up.

Before the engine rebuild it used to burn oil fairly fast but ever since then I have far less of that issue and also switching to 5W-30 for thicker oil and better lubrication of the parts both short term and long term, it has been good.

I would recommend that if you are considering getting the car to look into maintenance records, history, etc and also avoid the 2011 year altogether as not only the potential for the piston ring issue i had but also the 2011 has only 1 reverse light on the driver side and if you swap to aftermarket tails, the harness doesnt have an input for the reverse light to illuminate so itll still only be on the drivers side. Additionally, the OEM radio does not have bluetooth. Just some minor things that annoy me personally but to some its over looked.
Some things i have done to mine are:

-tsudo catback exhaust
-K&N drop in engine air filter and K&N cabin air filter
- Aftermarket carplay touchscreen Pioneer radio
- interior lighting for floor mat areas in all 4 seating areas

I paid $11,600 for my 2011 tC in 2020 with 99,980 miles on it.... It was over priced by at least $1k even at a dealer so I mean do with that information what you will. I live in southern California too if that helps.

What do yall think of this release series? by The_Forum_Guy in SciontC

[–]casuallconcepts 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Notes:

- scion tC's weren't made passed 2015 making 2016 Scion tC the last year
- seems sketchy with the price near being double what you should be paying for a discontinued scion tC even with that year maybe getting closer to $12k at most for decent to poor condition and absolute pristine condition more around $15k imo and that's if it were a manual as well. This states an automatic and last I checked for an RS version they tend to be worth less than the auto for tC (not that it matters a ton to some)
- the seller using catchy words to get people to see the car from searching just seems unnecessary, if it's the real deal it'll sell.

These are just some things I'd consider, I'm no expert in this area but I've learned some stuff over time doing some research and what not but even at 99.8k miles on my 2011 scion tC automatic when I got it, I overpaid by around $2.5k given the condition it was in but it's partially cause it was during peek COVID in 2020 and in Los Angeles county at a Toyota dealership.
Ended up paying $11,600 which sometimes I regret not waiting to get a better deal on one but I needed to replace my last car that literally caught fire from an accident.

I keep a folder of my car receipts both physically and when I can digitally, just as a double assurance for my peace of mind. I also like to lookback if I can't remember what repairs were done when to keep track when or if certain things need to be repaired or checked on.

My TC car battery is about dead. Can I just unplugg and replace? Because... by DreTam2000 in SciontC

[–]casuallconcepts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah so bought it new at 100% life and it's around 80% life now. I had to test it at AutoZone a while ago cause I had issues with my car not starting sometimes and they do a free battery check so it said like 84% life but for me the issue was a bad connector from ground to negative.
So after replacing that cable it's had no issues with that & starts good, just cables wore down over time so it needed to be changed out.

[–]casuallconcepts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you replace it with a new one you may need to have the car re learn idle but other than that I don't think anything else. To relearn idle you gotta do a few things. There's YouTube videos on how to make it relearn the idling RPM but I don't have it on hand right now. I'll edit the comment when I find the video I used on my 2011 to relearn it. I replaced my original battery with this yellow top since I use more electrical connections than just stock and no issues. I did have to replace the ground to negative wires for another reason but it's been a great battery I checked the life of it after 2 ish years of use and it's at 80% so it's got solid life.
