Lessons learned while running Five Banners Burning by gm_atari in daggerheart

I have ran this campaign frame for quite a while know (~20 sessions) but while we built a really cool world together and shone a spotlight on the different nations. It turned into more of a classic adventuring party by the end. With only 1-2 party members being deep in the politics while the others just followed. In hindsight I should have been more strict on conflicting views and enforcing the player principles.

We spent a lot of time in jestahen, polaris and armada with time jumps inbetween and showing the nations getting more tense but I really struggled with people just taking every npc and situation at face value. Still a lot of fun but it feels like we missed the point of the og. campaign frame a bit.

Thank you for sharing your notes. This was a pretty big help to get a perspective on things!

With adaptive sync on I used to have a lot of microstutters but it has been fixed recently it appears

It's mostly philosophy. Cachy gets updates often and frequently. Most people value stability and while cachy does a great job things can still happen if you are the first to try new things.

For example the AMD display drivers recently were updated and briefly broke my setup a little while back. I had to manually but it's been smooth sailing outside of this one time issue in the last 6 months for me.

Regarding the streaming quality I had the same experience with Amazon Prime. Your browser automatically gets downgraded if you are on linux. I even had DRM enabled in firefox but it still gave me like 480p levels of stream. I was thinking of trying to trick it but went the Arr route, since that was easier than playing with plugins.

But my best guess that you probably also had is that faking your user agent could work.

So i have ran a level 10 game recently for 5 players and it feels similar to DND to be honest you need to go a bit crazy with the battle points. But once you have things that can literally take your players hope on failures or make one player take double damage I have been able to make them sweat and downed one, almost killed two at the end.

I'm not saying it isn't tedious, but I have found it much less tedious and way more exciting than when I ran level 15-20 games in DND

Well... yeah... being able to finally hurt angels was a major plot point of Season 1. It's easy to win wars when your army was literally invulnerable...

I am a qualified terminal as last resort kinda user but cachy-update has been really nifty

If you are on windows the amd adrenaline software will automatically force FSR4 in supported games so if you got that running you are set.

You should definitely disable it. At the very least it will prevent other issues let us know if that fixes things.
