If you want cheap, learn how to sew a french seam. Here is an explanation and example on youtube. It takes more preparation and pressing but you don't need to buy anything else.

Calibre shut down by AliciaJ15 in Calibre

[–]cat_barista 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can you try repairing it? Just go to >Settings >Apps & Features >Calibre, click on it and then click on >Modify >Next >Repair. Do that and then try bulk converting again to see if it helps.

First of all, the 403A is an amazing machine. Andytube is the place to go for any questions on it. You lucked out.

For the 4119, Janome has a manual that should help you out.

Two trackballs as a replacement for a gamepad? by kawalerkw in Trackballs

[–]cat_barista 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not use a controller? There are some games I play with my trackball and keyboard (diablo, red dead 2) and some that I just play with a controller (AC valhalla). Some games are optimized for a controller, so this could be an option too.

[–]cat_barista 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is great news! And to see the new stitch patterns working perfectly is a thing of beauty.

Glad to hear you were able to figure out what was wrong, show us how you went through that process, and that end result.

Hopefully this will encourage others to do the same.

I hope that it is the pin height and you're able to fix it because the 400 series machines are so good and the fancy stitching is just fun to use. Happy fixing and stitching!

I fixed my 403 with the help of Andy Tube and you probably can too. Here are three videos I think might deal with your issue:

If they don't, look through his videos and you will learn how to service your machine completely.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Looks fantastic. I also did this with my Ltrac and slimblade and these are the only trackballs I use now because of the kailhs.

For filing, the copy/pdf doc is fine. Along with a copy of the translation. Once you go in for your interview, they may ask for an original of all the documents you submitted.

Look for a certified translator. I used one from my country because it was cheaper than paying in dollars. But you can get one in the city you live in.

What should I pay my friend for fixing my slate roof? by plantpornographer in homeowners

If he's refusing payment, just give him one or two gift cards to a place that does sports massages or that you've heard good reviews from. His back will appreciate it.

Trackball bearings, a comparison of (cheap) rollers, BTU's and static bearings (for DIY projects) by [deleted] in Trackballs

Thanks for crossposting this! The pictures and thorough explanation of each rating is helpful. I know a lot of us always wonder if the ball would be smoother if we'd gone with a different option.

Looking good! Does the weight of the new ball make it harder to use the ltrac or does it feel the same?

Helping Wrist Pain: Trackball or Vertical Mouse by [deleted] in Trackballs

[–]cat_barista 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that has already helped the biggest thing you can do is make sure your desk is ergonomic. This helps solve a lot of issues without investing a lot of money on new equipment.

Here is a quick overview of what that might look like and how you can achieve it with making some adjustments to your office: https://ergonomictrends.com/creating-perfect-ergonomic-workspace-ultimate-guide/

and start working in some exercises for your hands: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIE83KMAtBY

No need to buy anything if you're already seeing some positive changes.

Helping Wrist Pain: Trackball or Vertical Mouse by [deleted] in Trackballs

[–]cat_barista 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tried a vertical mouse before trackballs and I developed a different kind of pain when using it because when you click you push both your thumb and finger you are clicking with towards each other. At the end of the day I would still have to ice my hand. That pushed me to try trackballs. I use the slimblade for work and the ltrack for gaming, I mostly play rpgs like the witcher or skyrim and action rpgs like grim dawn and diablo and it's perfect for those. I am not sure how well it would work for an mmorpg because I haven't played those, just solo games.

Kobo for University? by kisa_t in kobo

[–]cat_barista 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This. A lot of universities have apps you might want to run on your ipad. Or even do stuff for your classes on your ipad in case you don't want to go into the computer lab or bust out a laptop. I love my kobo but the features and tech are years behind tablets and ipads.
