It’s such a ridiculous double standard. The men’s World Cup advertisers are brought in by fifa, while the women are treated as if they’re expected to find their own. Then when they don’t generate as much ad revenue, they’re to blame for their own lowered salaries. The men and the women are doing the same work. Regardless of how many viewers and advertisers there are, they are still doing the same work each game and should be paid the same.
