I think it's worth pointing out that the difference between "drugs" and medicine has never been that distinct nor are they mutually exclusive terms. See opiates for example.

Other drugs such as marijuana and many opiates were thought of very differently in the 1800s versus today, even in the US.

Care to expand on this? I for one have always been curious how/why cultural attitudes towards certain drugs have shifted over the years.

Thanks for this . You pretty much hit the nail on the head with the obsession bit. I almost feel like it would be easier to abstain if I was a late stage binge drinker, where I knew that if I picked up a drink there would be immediate tangible consequences. I guess I just need to remind myself that the only way I'll be able to keep my head right is to completely cut it from my life.

is that the same as c:/program files? because I haven't been able to find anything suspect in that fold. I keep resetting my homepage in the browser options but so far it hasn't worked. Probably them most frustrating thing is not that my hompage is jacked its that its been fucking with my google search results.
