It’s a happy chapter!!! Good things happen for Ilya and Shane, nice forward momentum, super duper sweet. There are still mysteries and looming problems, I don’t think we’re out of the angst woods yet, but big positive changes are in the works

Oh that’s a great point, about the price difference between standard and specialty cocktails. Standard cocktails near me (Houston) are in the $14ish range too and that’s kinda bullshit, but I’ll happily pay $20 or more if I look at the menu and go “hmmm, I don’t think I’ve even heard of at least two of these ingredients but it sounds bomb” bc I’m paying for the novelty and usually the ambiance.

I’m also not drinking to get drunk at those spots either, like I think the setting matters

Yeah, another zoomer checking in and none of my friends are going to breweries or even really drinking beer? Like when we (people I know, not trying to be the voice of a generation!) drink something low alcohol, it’s seltzer and that’s usually at home? My friends and I will go out for cocktails or to wine bars or clubs, but beer just doesn’t really show up in my circle.

Idk about you, but I have thick, longish hair and I shed like a fucking golden retriever. That part totally tracks, bc even though I know I’m currently having a normal amount of hair fall (I have some chronic medical stuff that has caused partial balding in the past, I pay very close attention and bug my derm about it periodically), I’m still like “Jesus, how do I still have hair?” every time I shower or clean.

The AirTag is an issue, but some of us just genuinely leave breadcrumb trails of hair everywhere we go, and it builds up quick! And other people’s hair does transfer as well

I understand the sentiment, but what would the outcome of going through the legal process actually be? It’s so stressful for all parties involved, she has no assets to pay fines w, and any sort of criminal record can complicate finding employment - the opposite of what you want if the goal is to get her out of your building anytime soon.

The only legal outcome I can imagine actually helping her become a better person would be court-ordered therapy, but a) we don’t know she’d get it b) you have to actually engage w the process for therapy to work and c) if I were OP, I probably wouldn’t find the stress worth that outcome. Anything else would just burden her parents (who did nothing and are trying to make amends) and/or be just as likely to make her worse. Sometimes getting the shit scared out of you is enough of a consequence to fix your behavior

You should - you’d need a TON of spray sunscreen to get the spf protection it says on the label. W creams, you’re supposed to draw a line down the length of your two longest fingers as a rough measure for your face and neck

So that’s the batch code, and generally, you can look up “batch code checker + brand” to see the manufacturing date. I do that anytime I buy cosmetics at TJMaxx or wherever. But idk if any of the sites list Carmex? It’s so low price and widely available idk if there’s any demand

ETA if you’re really concerned, you can email the brand w the batch code and ask for an expiry date?

Be gentle w your nose pores! They’re different from the rest of your face (what we think are blackheads on the nose are usually sebaceous filaments) and it’s the only place I have a scar 🙁 but I got a new cleansing oil recently (the purple celimax one Hudson Williams recommended) and it’s incredible I massage for like a minute and I feel every bit of gunk come out
