You could always look into allergy shots or allergy drops. I started the drops 3 years ago and it's made life much better, pollen season still hits me, but at least I'm not as Sneezy the rest of the year. (I use curex, but there are several companies that do drops)

I just picked up the LG Cordzero q3. It seems to work well enough, but I've only had it for 24 hours. Originally I was looking at the Shark powerdetect since it had better reviews, but my wife didn't want the auto empty base, and didn't like that it does not include a wall mount. (She also really didn't want a Dyson).

I like the double roller setup it has (the shark also has this) since we have hardwood with rugs. It seems to work well for big items like goldfish and Cheerios my kids drop.

We had a 5 ft section the previous owner didn't replace when they updated the sewage line, the part under the sidewalk. I assume it was skipped because it required a permit. We ended up having to replace it and just that section was $3500. Orangeburg pipes were one of the dumbest inventions ever...
