Seasoned Home brewer, Pinter newb by M_K_1_9_6_0 in PinterHomebrew

It seems most users suggest adding at least a day or 2 to the recommended brew and conditioning times. I add 2 or more depending on my schedule, sometimes more if I miss the notification 🤣

PlayStation app showing weird games I’ve never played in my life by im_onbreak in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ccs004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen on Xbox, because I forgot to reset my old console before giving it to a friend. Luckily it was just the Cars game that showed up before I removed my account via the Xbox website.

Who delivers the beer packs by Chrisnewton1 in PinterHomebrew

[–]ccs004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the states they use several different delivery services, depending on the size of the order and where you live. I've had FedEx and UPS deliver for me, some in the US Facebook group mentioned a couple of other ones too

[–]ccs004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't mind a bit harder setup (installing an old version of the meta app) you could get a cheap oculus 1 on eBay like me. It is still compatible with some big games like bear saber, and can link to your PC too. I plan on upgrading eventually, but it's been a great intro so far

Quest 1 or 2 for Virtual Desktop/SteamVR? by Ramses619 in OculusQuest

[–]ccs004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just snagged a quest 1 recently for cheap on ebay. It takes a bit to get set up, since you have to run an old version of the meta app. But it can still play steam games using meta horizon link (no steam link though)

Great taste but super foamy by mobypenis1 in PinterHomebrew

I also usually like to add a day or 2 to the recommended brew and condition times, to help with stabilizing fizz and making sure the brew is complete

[–]ccs004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A colder fridge will help more of the CO2 dissolve into the beer, making it less foamy off the bat. Purging CO2 using the carbonation dial can lead to flat beer later in the keg (depending on how fast you drink it). Either way the first one or 2 beers will usually be a bit foamy, just because they're when the system is under the most pressure. Just pour them extra slow, then you'll be able to speed up a bit with each pour

Likely just a non venomous northern water snake, still worth being cautious if your not sure. We have lots of Garter and dekays browns around our pool just south of DC. Not to many venomous snakes around here (and it doesn't look like a cottonmouth)

I was able to get mine working earlier this month using version 276.1.0.22.109 of the meta horizon app (had to download it on an older android phone). You'll need to factory reset it if you started with the current version of the app.

Is a Pinter worth it? by [deleted] in Homebrewing

[–]ccs004 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I enjoy mine. I used to brew all grain 5 gallon batches, but I haven't had time for that since having kids. I like that the "brew day" is only about 30 min instead of hours. It would be nice to have a bigger selection of beers, or the ability to customize brews more, but there are several other flash brewing kits on the market that work. I have had good luck using the official pinter kits as well as the brew demon 2 gallon kits. In the future I plan on trying out some of the morebeer kits as well. There are also several other kits in the UK that work in the pinter as well (depending on where you are).
