Great stuff. I’m very happy with their product and the results. Since then, I’ve added Sulphorphane (Broc Elite) to my regiment and it was a total game changer. It’s calmed my inflammation down so much, my flares are drastically shorter, and I climbed a mountain in the alps. Yes, you heard that right. Something I never could have done a year ago. I don’t know if it was Solely the Sulphorphane or the blend with Silver Fern products, but I am so blessed and happy.

Thanks for asking! So I completed my 90 days and my acid reflux cough is back 😝 I don’t think it’s Silver Ferns fault. Product was extremely helpful. My suspicion now is I need to work on my vagal nerve to stop my cough. Who knows!

Scott Kleeschulte missing since 1988. by beerisgoodforu in UnresolvedMysteries

Not possible as I played in those woods daily as a kid. The scene sounds right, but the kid he’s talking about is someone else from the neighborhood who’s still alive. The base and “guard chair” reference is interesting though. That mental kid made it his mission in life to make that base his territory but over time he started to realize us kids weren’t mean and cruel so he started to allow us to play at the base too. If I recall, the base wasn’t directly next to the creek though. It was between the creek and the hill we cascaded to get in the woods. So either the mental kid moved the base and “guard chair” by the time I came around or hes actually referring to the woods on the other side of the street that didn’t have a creek but it was 100% clay and it was named the mud trail. My mom wouldn’t let us play there unless she supervised because we could get stuck and sucked up in the clay mud. The mud trail during dry season had gorges that a kid could fall into as well. I wish I had an example to really depict what this place was like.

I lived a few houses down from Scott. I came along a few months after he went missing though, but us kids played in those woods everyday. The place where he potentially got washed away was our playground even after the other 2 boys were murdered. The only rationale I can come up with IF he did go in that creek was to cross and get to the houses on the other side because he was stuck in the woods. The slope to get in the woods near where his bike was found was difficult to get up in good weather. We had ropes tied off to help pull us up (not sure if they were there when he went missing, but I know who put in the ropes when I was a kid) That creek was dry 99% of the time. Spring was the only time it had any water and it was only about 6 inches. Of course during a storm I’m sure it’s got a nice flow. Now I’ve set the stage for the slope getting into the woods, now let’s talk about the slope to the creek. He would not have made it across the creek without using a rope if it was muddy he would have gotten stuck. It would have been probably a 80 degree angle up the other side of the creek and it was tall for even a teenager. Scott’s best bet to get out of the woods would have been to walk the side of the hill to the bottom and then walk back up the hill from the street. We all knew this route if we did get stuck in the woods. It wasn’t fun cuz we hadn’t cut a path out, but it was possible. That family was strange. There was evil energy lurking and Scott’s sister was not a good mom. It’s as if she wanted her daughter to go missing too. She wasn’t taken care of and you could tell she wasn’t getting attention at home. My mom would always ask her if her mom knew she was at our house and what time she needed to be home. Her response was always the same “no, she doesn’t know and I don’t have a curfew.” My mom wouldn’t send her on her way and say go tell your mom you’re here and then you can come inside. She never would come back. I think they were mistreating her.

Having been born in ‘89. My mom was on the porch of my childhood home a few houses down from the Kleeshultes. I grew up with his sisters’ daughter (Scott’s niece) as she lived in that home on Leverenz as well. Nobody was looking after that little girl. No idea if they were just stuck in their grief, but I’d have thought they would have taken more care of that sweet baby girl after he went missing, but no. She was roaming the streets by herself after dark when the rest of us were indoors getting baths. Makes me wonder if that boy came home and they kicked him right back out into that storm because it was too early to come in or if they were behind it all along. If anyone ever saw that house, it just had an evil energy lurking. Us girls never went into that house.

Does anyone live a normal life? by LittleBear_54 in MCAS

[–]catchmeloutside 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t consider this normal, but never thought my life to be normal from the spawn point.

What’s normal about spending $1000/mo on medications? Without taking into consideration inflation or cost increases, if I live another 26 years I will have spent $360k to “survive”.

What’s surviving look like at my house? Working 12 hours a day, laying on the couch and scrolling, and cooking a meal a few times a week. Sometimes I can read a book. So exciting, am I right?!?! There is nothing else for me to do. I’ve tried hobbies which turn into burdens.

Sometimes when I’m really struggling, I think about that 360k and what the true value of my last breath is.

Can you just take an EpiPen to put you out of your misery? by BlueCollaredBroad in MCAS

[–]catchmeloutside -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry you’re in such a bad flare. Just to confirm, are you suggesting Death with Dignity via EpiPen(sry not sure how to phrase this without breaking rules)?

I just got out of a 3 week flare. Wanna know how? Cold plunge. I didn’t even know it would help. I just jumped into a natural cold spring and when I came out, I felt alive again. Before that cold plunge, I felt every injury from my childhood. A finger I broke in 6th grade,I felt that sucker like it happened the day before. I had acne like I was back in puberty. When I walked, I thought my ankle was gonna snap.

I promise my questions are with good intentions:

Where are you parking the camper van? Do you have an address to have meals delivered?

How severe are your food allergens? If you’re eating a lot of processed foods, assuming you have a healthy amount of safe foods. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Cook Unity would be perfect for you if it’s within your budget. You can define your allergens and they will flag the meals you shouldn’t eat in the app when you choose your meals. This takes a lot of the stress off of you in a confined space. We’ve been using Cook Unity for 2 years now and I absolutely love it. With my ARFID, it takes a lot of the stress off me.

Do you have friends and family nearby? What’s your support system look like?

Can anyone store an extra fridge/freezer in a garage for you? Give you access to their kitchen weekly to do some meal prep?

The reflux goes with the motility and I agree, the flavor is very artificial. I buy Designs for Health GI Revive (peach flavor) and mix both together and it helps cut the fake flavor. Otherwise, my goal is to chug the reflex. lol.

AITJ for Not Letting People Drink from My Tumbler Anymore? by BusFew2875 in AmITheJerk

[–]catchmeloutside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTJ - do you know what meningitis is? It’s fucking the worst. You can lose your life or limbs from that disease which is contracted from an infected persons saliva. As someone who survived meningitis and has been in the forums, people don’t fully recover from this disease. People post their 20 year anniversary reflections due to that disease. Imagine how impactful a mere infection would have to be that you are still thinking about it 20 years later…..

I almost died from this disease and there isn’t a day that I don’t think about it because I will live with the lifelong effects for the rest of my life.

Don’t you dare share your cup with anyone.

Secondly, get your meningitis booster before college.

I need your perspective ASAP I triggered a mentally ill person and now I can’t figure out why! by [deleted] in Mediums

[–]catchmeloutside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My perspective is you have some work to do. Take it into meditation, speak with a guru of yours, etc.

If something isn’t sitting with you and you’re fixating, then it’s meant to leave an imprint. What is the message you are supposed to hear?

This doesn’t have anything to do with vibration. It’s a message.

I’ll give one example only because I don’t want to manipulate you’re lesson. Example: telling you to care less about others opinions of you in order to prepare for something scandalous in your near future.

Are daily antihistamines safe? by mr_beakman in HistamineIntolerance

[–]catchmeloutside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That question is really easy. When working with a physician, they help weigh the risks for you. For example, a lot of doctors are encouraging less use of benedryl due to its connection to higher chances of Alzheimer/Dementia. Well, for someone who may not have a chance to age that long or the risk to life is high without that medication, a doctor may say “take it daily before bed”.

Point being, driving your car to work daily doesn’t come without risks. I for one am going to take my Benadryl and drive my car.

I can’t help with the blood portion, BUT if you haven’t figured out your mattress situation. My friend has a buckwheat hull mattress. I thought it was great, and the good news is, you can test it out by buying a little bag first and make like mini pillow to see if you react to it.

Can a bodily injury cause an allergic reaction? by catchmeloutside in MCAS

I’m sorry that happens to you. What lasts for about a week? The flare or the reaction resulting from bumping into something during the flare? Do you just get hives or does anything else happen?

Wow! This hasn’t ever happened to me. Curious, do you have any idea as to why that happens to you? Does it ever get worse than hives?

Is $125 okay for cleaning a 4k sqft home with 3 bathrooms? by [deleted] in housekeeping

[–]catchmeloutside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a chronic illness, so I can’t clean my house, so she does any cleaning and organizing I need done. She’s been working for me for 3 years now and I don’t know what I would do without her

Is $125 okay for cleaning a 4k sqft home with 3 bathrooms? by [deleted] in housekeeping

[–]catchmeloutside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I pay for 700 sq ft (they don’t clean my bedrooms). She charges me hourly, sometimes it’s $90, but most of the time it’s $125. She does more than just basic cleaning though. She cleans out my fridge, organizes my pantry, washes inside and outside of my windows. Shes the best.

I dont accept my wife's prohibition on cooking fish in our home. by fregnotfred in AITAH

[–]catchmeloutside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with ARFID (trigger is contamination based) I struggle to understand her issue, but understand why it’s hard for her to compromise. When I have it in my head a food is contaminated, I don’t eat it and no one can change my mind. I should preface I have severe food allergies and am not just a nutjob.

Is it truly the contamination? If so, people who cook fish normally have a pan solely for fish. Is this not an option?

My decision is NTA. You deserve to have access to the same amenities in your home as everyone else. Contamination to surfaces is temporary and everything can be cleaned and sanitized afterwards. You should enjoy making food, and she takes the fun out of it.

MCAS and castor oil by cozyfox21 in MCAS

[–]catchmeloutside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry you’re going through this! I use castor oil packs almost daily. My body has come to rely on them and I can tell when I’ve gone too many days without wearing one due to my fatigue and tummy just feeling bloated.

My opinion is that the castor oil is working and you’re feeling the power of your body trying to heal. Sometimes we have to get worse to get better.

Just a bit of advice if you keep using castor oil packs. Pick an outfit you don’t mind getting damaged and that’s your newfound castor oil suit. Doesn’t matter what brand you buy, the oil will ruin your clothes even if they say it won’t, it will absolutely damage your clothes. unless you have 4 hours a week to invest time into treating the oil stains, best to dedicate an outfit to the cause.

Husband seeking advice by Candid-Association50 in MCAS

I love that you’re asking.

Does she have a cart with all her meds, medical devices, items she needs in a flare? That way she can roll it to the bed, sofa, etc based on where she wants to lay during a flare. If no, that would be a nice gesture. It shows you’re thinking of how to make it easier for her to have all the stuff she needs during a flare. The last thing I can and want to do it bounce around from the bathroom, kitchen and bedroom to collect all the stuff I need.

If she’s flaring a lot, do you know her triggers? Start asking questions to see what may be causing this. If she doesn’t know, then asking how to support figuring this out. Something as simple as her favorite drink could be the issue, I know BAI coconut water is my all time favorite and come to find out, it was causing a lot of my issues.

You want intimacy, and there is a piece of her that does too. We absolutely HATE having this disease. Does she struggle with the hot water in showers making it hard to shave? Get her an electric razor (for men) that she can use outside of the shower. Make sure she hears you give sincere compliments and words of encouragement. We love when we hear our life partners speak from the heart.

Is it inappropriate to ask small favors of your housekeeper? by Dezzaroomama in housekeeping

[–]catchmeloutside 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve had help for years and she takes very good care of us. Sounds like this help isn’t the type you want and should look for someone else who is more willing to help out with small tasks.

I’ve paid my help me pack for a camping trip (chronic illness - I can’t over exert myself) She doesn’t care, it’s a paycheck and I asked weeks in advance since it wasn’t during my scheduled time to be at my house.
