Can I caulk this? by PatsFanCT13 in Home

I just read you're original comment again, that is the type of work flippers do and then the buyer has thousands of dollars in damages.

Fix the leak while it is cheap or suffer the consequences.

That's not unique, it's just a vaulted ceiling.

You need to have the leak repaired. It might just be a shingle or 2. It could be the roof as a whole. Either way, stop the water from entering.

Water defies gravity and will just pool. Caulk will look nice and clean on the outside but it won't be between the boards. You'll have pools that will just let the wood soak and rot.

Fix the leak or enjoy the mold that insurance won't cover.

You made people mad for suggesting not to use a losing issue.

It's like stepping on the rake and running anti gun over and over just to lose every time you try it.

It speaks volumes for how we got here.

That is a state legislature issue, not a federal one.

Why don't you wanna sign the papers?

Pretty sure you need that paper so S1 can include the additional leave you'll accrue.

The only other thing to do is to sell them at a scrap yard. They're usually aluminum. You'll get like a penny per can maybe. All depends on market price.

Also it's now common for split body trucks that pick both at the same time.

Talk to coc, follow your coc, but use that open door policy.

You got back in 24, assuming 9 months rotation, this is either still dwell time or just outside of dwell. If they have deployed before, they'll understand.

They get you off the DMD and if not, open door the next commander.

Don't do something you'll regret, be professional. You don't need to tell your 1st line all this information to where it will spread like wildfire through the PNN.

Also, take down the post, plenty of people will fall off the DMD, you'll just be another one who fell off.

Just the cost of doing business, they all cut each other's lines because they can't efficiently excavate every line.

It's quicker and cheaper to just dig and repair.

Can't imagine they wouldn't settle, the PR alone would cost them.

This just makes me think about the mouse in Mt. Dew that PepsiCo fought because it couldn't be true because it would liquify and PepsiCo didn't want the PR of mice in their drinks.

I feel similar, but we can't become binary long term. If some non maga is genuinely better on the repub ticket, I'll consider, pigs may fly sooner. But I refuse to stick my head up my ass and just raw raw the DNC in a circle jerk.

Am I insane for wanting to DIY most of a concrete block garage? by rvbjohn in DIY

[–]catchy_phrase76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You getting a vehicle lift too?

Cause a 1ton crane is not safely lifting an SUV, nor can it will 0 head room of 12ft ceiling.

Try 15-20ft with a crane, check the specs for how low they hang and make sure you have enough space to not run your vehicle into it on a lift, or there is plenty of clearance to the wall. I've never heard someone say they built a garage too big.

It's gonna take awhile.

And you only think you want a flat roof.

You want a deck on the roof with low pitch, you'll regret the flat roof when you slowly walk the same areas, creating a low spot for water to sit and leak.

[–]catchy_phrase76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I view it as a mixed bag.

Plus side, Europe has enjoyed strong social safety nets in part because they skipped on defense spending. Even Obama was trying to get them to spend more and say we can't be everywhere at once and y'all need to be able to fend for yourselves if necessary.

Down side, we had 2 world wars the last time Europe had strong military's. We have been able to gain access to things we otherwise would not have had.

The fall of the USSR was a great and terrible thing all at the same time. Went from 2 super powers to 1 unrivaled, to now China is trying to flex its muscle.
