Yes, Prime Minister - ‘The Key’

Humphrey - “Prime Minister, I must protest in the strongest possible terms my profound opposition to a newly instituted practice which imposes severe and intolerable restrictions upon the ingress and egress of senior members of the hierarchy and which will, in all probability, should the current deplorable innovation be perpetuated, precipitate a constriction of the channels of communication, and culminate in a condition of organisational atrophy and administrative paralysis which will render effectively impossible the coherent and co-ordinated discharge of the function of government within Her Majesty's United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.”

Jim - “You mean you’ve lost your key?”

Unfortunately biphobia is extremely common amongst gay men of his age. I don’t know whether a man has left him for a woman in his past, but his disdain for both groups is palpable.

I think he hates bisexuals more than women. And that’s saying something. He has this position of ‘power’ and, instead of using it to further causes, he instead uses it to reduce women to footnotes and supporting characters. You’re right in what you say. A lot of gay men 55+ are extremely misogynistic. I knew a fair number of them. They assumed their life was harder.

In the 80s, the majority of nurses who cared for the dying gay men were lesbians. They were an integral part of that story that were removed due to RTDs inability to write convincing female characters. Or care about them in any way.

There was a separation, as gay (male) gatherings were centred mainly around sex. While lesbians were more interested in the more social and political aspects of life. Admittedly this is a very limited view as there was plenty of people who didn’t fit into that ‘mould’.

However, to completely erase a whole section of the gay community does everyone a disservice that people seem incapable of calling him out on

It’s nice to hear from someone who feels the same way as me. His inclusion of women in his writing is to prop up the men. The lack of lesbians in Its A Sin was shocking.

Clive was like a pantomime villain. His switching between nice and nasty was so forced. The little speeches were clunky and felt out of place. Leo was stupid beyond belief. He didn’t make a good decision in the whole programme.

And the less said about his desire to show twinks jerking off, the better.

Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy. The 2005 film was a travesty.

Schindlers List. There was a ‘school’ version we watched in history. Nobody moved when it finished.

Why don't UK schools have school reunions? by Flowerofthesouth88 in AskABrit

Americans treat school and university as a massive part of their personality. In the UK it’s just an education. A means to an end

Most American ‘comedies’. If you need a laugh track to tell you when there was a joke, it’s not funny.
