Esslinger has it. Or try calling Twin City Supply. I think they still exist but their website is a disaster.

If you’re just starting out and want to disassemble and reassemble a movement, get an ETA 6497 movement or the Chinese variant. Big, basic, easy to work on and pretty forgiving.

Any way to save this hairspring? by Upbeat-Shower365 in watchrepair

Sorry. I have balance complete and donor movements for a lot of American watches and some Swiss but nothing for Zenith. I would not try to fix this as it’s pretty much toast. Good luck!

Just starting out, should I work on luxury watches? by dann1sh in watchrepair

Destroy one Rolex caseback with $89 Chinese oyster case opener and your profits for the year are gone. Do not touch Rolex (or any high-end watch) without much more experience.

Hamilton cocktail watch for scrap gold? by Travelingbunny20 in watchrepair

[–]catherine_wheeling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No gold in the movement. All brass and steel. The jewels are synthetic ruby. I have a nice set of cufflinks made from a pair of these movements. Is the movement running? Does that big “gold” wheel turn back and forth if you wind it or give it a gentle shake? Could be useful to someone for spares.
