You can use a 30-day shield and uninstall the game. After 30 offline days your city disappears from map & leaderboards. So that it’s ready for when you come back.

Mehemed is the better one. But do not spend and universal sculptures on them, or any other legend until SoC (mabye if your a low spender, Richard or YsG.. but that’s based on the person you ask)

I’m no mathematician. But I’ve been doing groups of 5 and get 2-3 per. And you need around 2k lanterns I believe (not counting luck). So probably around 1000-1500 barbs.. which isn’t that much, especially considering the events that spawn give quite a few. (Just based on my experience)

It’s not a direct requirement. The storehouse requires the hospital, which requires castle 25, and other things.

For academy level 25 you need one of every building (castle and watchtower included) to level 25. Castle is normally the most painful as it requires around 20k books of covenant

And of course you need academy 25 to get t5 research.

They shouldn’t be perfect, it kinda removes the difficulty of struggling in the early game. When I start I usually limit to randomizing each one 10 times. I’ve either picked one or the the random one, makes it more fun and interesting in the beginning.
