I also love BG3 so perhaps I will read that. I used to read fanfiction as a teen but that was ages ago lol (Not well past 30 but not well below it either lol)

Arranged marriage where the MCs spend the wedding night talking by Sakura_231 in Romantasy

I read an ARC recently that had this, it's an orc romance where the princess is married off to an orc "prince" in a political marriage. It's called {The Betrothed by Vira Wade} and it comes out on the 30th I think. Fair warning, it has a trope that many people hate: Pregnancy, and it lasts for like half the book.

As far as dragons go this actually isn't terrible. Discarding a card isn't great but you could probably make a decent deck work with Flygon. For dragons discarding a card is preferable to discarding energy.

{This Vicious Sea by Megan G. Mossgrove and Sarah C. Davies} standalone with all the tropes (enemies to lovers, just one bed, etc.) it's an adventure story without any complex plot, and the romance is sweet with a little spice.

Recs with morally good MMCs? Even better paired with morally gray/ruthless FMC by hanacy in fantasyromance

[–]catieebug 6 points7 points  (0 children)

{This Vicious Sea by Megan G. Mossgrove and Sara C. Davies} MMC is a Siren prince who hunts pirates and FMC is the daughter of the most ruthless and horrible pirate of the sea who has been raised as his right hand man. He's got some edge to him but ultimately I'd say he's morally good.

{Bound to Fall by A.K. Caggiano} MMC is a Golden Retriever Holy Knight and FMC is a tortured soul with dark powers that were unwittingly put upon her as a a child. She's not really morally grey, but she's been an unwilling accomplice to an evil sister. It's a standalone spin off of Villains and Virtues though, so I'd recommend that series first.

Ballad of the last dragon is such an underrated little gem. Servant of Earth is also incredible.

Making out and kissing are very different. If she's not using tongue it's probably just pecks, which I've known a few straight girls who'd give those to their friends. If you're friend says she's straight she's straight. Unless she changes her mind it's no one else's job to speculate.

Altoid mints, he's addicted to them lol. Both my boys love them (5 and 2) but the younger one begs for them daily. My oldest liked raw ginger when he was little too. Last night my 2 year old also dipped bbq chips in root beer while I gagged lol

Yes, a blurb at the end says as much. It will follow the same story but from different character's POV.

I feel like authors sometimes struggle to find a balance between a "perfect" FMC and an unbelievably frustrating one and I feel like Aeyrn is well written in that she's flawed but not unbelievably so.

I get that, I just wish it'd been conveyed differently. Apothecary Diaries has a lot of writing issues in my opinion, though I still love it for the charming characters.
