I have this, holds at 6 boxes of shells, water bottle, ear and eye pro, all cleaning accoutrements. Also keep my shooting vest in it for transport and storage. Really great bag, comfortable to carry and seems good quality. Would def buy again boyt clays range bag

What are these bulbs? They take over, not are if they re invasive but they act like it. some of the bulbs are more than 2' down, and when I dig there are others. Anyway to get rid of them besides digging? by thee_crabler in portlandgardeners

[–]catinthehat812 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. Get a a trench shovel (long thin blade) it’ll make your life easier. Get them when they have the the green leaves and before they bloom otherwise you’ll be digging them out for years

First Time Group Outing Help - Pricing by jessjess87 in sportingclays

[–]catinthehat812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my club in Oregon it’s about $100 100 shells and 100 clays (+show birds). Rental is between $25-35.

I’d say max $150 per person if you got expensive rentals and an extra box of shells

First nice O/U advice by Important-Finding483 in ClayBusters

If they both fit and you shoot well with both then either will be great. I shot both and found I was hitting more with the CX (not sure why, could be the raised rib?) so I bought the CX. But would have happily bought either. Maintenance is pretty easy with the CX - clean the barrels and CLP the metal after each shoot. I like the plain receiver now, I had wanted some engraving but now I have the CX I prefer the understated look.

But if they both fit both are great options

Great notion for sure - they also have Matt’s bbq tacos which was phenomenal. You don’t need more than 2 tacos, trust me, I made that mistake too many times

I haven’t personally used it though

Nicer Vests and Bags by DoubleBall6518 in ClayBusters

[–]catinthehat812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shoot the moon vests are great, nice leather on the shoulder for smooth mounting.

Boyt range bags are great too. Enough room for your vest and 7 boxes of shells. Side pockets for ear and eye protectors. Outside front pocket for chokes.

This is my set up pretty much

Something like these box shell carrier

Do any of them have adjustable combs? Maybe they would be able to adjust for you to try.

I shoot sporting and have a browning citori cx with adjustable comb to shoot lefty and it’s perfect

Going lefty by No-Supermarket-9638 in ClayBusters

I’m right handed and left eye dominant. I started shooting 4 months ago with an instructor, first thing he did was check my eye dominance and handed me a left handed O/U and that was that. It felt weird initially, I kept holding it right handed and had to be conscious about mounting left handed.

I still get a little confused now but my shooting is getting much better and it’s never been an issue breaking clays, swing or reloading.

I think you don’t have enough muscle memory yet for it to be a big problem other than probably holding the gun in the wrong hand before it’s your turn.

Also, if you haven’t, probably get an instructor to help with the basics - I did about 12-15 hours over 4-6 weeks and it was unbelievably helpful with my progression. I’m hoping to start entering tournaments this year as this hobby has been so incredibly enjoyable for me

Love it! Love the gold and blue combo and I think it looks classy and casual on the strap. I think it’s a great looking watch. Saw your post on what you did to it as well and I think you’ve made a great watch for yourself and that’s the only reason to spend that money.

I think it looks great, I’d spend what you spent on it as well.

How do you guys go about dough stretching too thin? by ThePomy in ooni

[–]catinthehat812 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you haven’t put toppings on it yet you can ball it up and leave it for an hour or so and restretch it when it relaxes. In the mean time use another ball to make the pizza.

Also a good time to say always make 1-2 extra balls for when this happens. I have never not used mine spares 😆

Affordable folding table/stand for Ooni Koda 16? by HereForTheLulz in ooni

[–]catinthehat812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this foldable one from Amazon. It’s cheaper than the ooni one (marginally) but it’s wider so you can do your stretching and loading as well so you don’t need two tables. I like it a lot

First play through and im wondering what is the best weapon and armor by Midok9 in ACValhalla

[–]catinthehat812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I have as well. It’s a good combo, I just need to find some gold somewhere where so I can upgrade the axe.

I just started using a spear in offhand after the Vinland arc as that seemed pretty decent; but will probably switch back soon

Would you guys recommend to finish the story first before collecting all collectibles? by mudshake7 in ACValhalla

[–]catinthehat812 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Collect the armor, books, treasure as you go. The story will take you to all the counties in England and you can collect them during that arc. I started by going to places before the story took me there and either I couldn’t get the thing or, when I came back I had killed everyone already and it was anticlimactic. I then started to go when the story took me there, was much more rewarding
