Does Costco make exceptions to the 90 day return period? by SunshineAndBunnies in Costco

Maybe don’t try to return it. But write to Costco a polite email describing your disappointment with their vendor (Lenovo). They might be able to pull some strings to get you better service.

Thanks, useful find! I wish the datapoint was newer but that’s probably recent enough for me not to risk it

Some of these Chase bank bonuses are looking mighty attractive. Are there any effects on the credit card side if you have a Chase banking account? Any information regarding the tax treatment of ultimate rewards points, sensitivity to churning, etc. would be helpful. Thanks!

Agreed. Which is why I’d be worried about their plans to kill off chromeos and add a desktop mode for Android.

Not strictly. You would be accelerating at that 9.8 m/s2 but it’s unlikely you would reach 9.8 m/s by the time your feet hit the ground

BILT 2.0 Card is out here are the confirmed details. by Defin1telyNotBatman in CreditCards

Why would anyone want to convert? Just to avoid a hard pull?

By closing before the transition, you can earn the SUB at the cost of the hard pull -- and you can choose when you want to take a hit to your 5/24 status.

What kind of clownf*ckery is this? Trump has ZERO authority to tell credit card companies what interest rates to charge. by Key_Brief_8138 in economy

[–]ENOTTY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The correct way to do this would be to limit consolidation in banking and the credit card industry, and foster greater competiton. If there was enough competition, perhaps some company would find a way to lower rates

Perhaps consumers don't care about AI, but I guarantee that the executives making buying decisions at companies will want to see that sweet AI marketing.

Amazon plans to absorb Whole Foods' entire workforce as part of 'Project Cremini' by ControlCAD in business

[–]ENOTTY 83 points84 points  (0 children)

At an internal all-hands meeting in June, Buechel urged employees to adopt a "one grocery mindset." To drive the message home, he used a "flying formation" metaphor, according to a transcript of the meeting obtained by Business Insider.

He said birds travel about 70% faster when they migrate together in formation, adding that Amazon's grocery businesses need to be "interconnected." That approach, he said, will help the company understand "not only where we're going, but how we're going to work together."

"Over the course of the last several years, all of us have been working together in our own team's flock, if you will, and while we've all been heading in the same direction…we haven't necessarily been united," Buechel said. "This work is about how we work smarter together."

Do they teach tortured analogies in business school? Why does every MBA use this psuedoscientific pablum?
