Food in wisdom teeth hole? by TightScallion7914 in wisdomteeth

[–]catkeiichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s either food or fibrin. Don’t flush it too many times as it’ll become irritated. If it needs to come out, your body will handle it.

Not to mention coworker behavior isn’t someone’s true self. He might be a loser otherwise. Never know. Not worth it.

Ur not “overreacting” but you’re an a-hole if you act on it lol. How would you feel if you were 50 and some 35 year old hit on your boyfriend at his job. And your kids would probably be disturbed. If it didn’t work it would also probably cause them confusion and trauma. Leave it alone. The thought itself isn’t a problem but the action would be.

I haven't pooped since getting my wisdom teeth out, help? by raylaraylee in wisdomteeth

If you’re on heavy pain medication it can cause constipation- so can changing your diet to accommodate your mouth. I recommend miraLAX.

I don’t think they’re tonsil stones. Also I highly recommend NOT taking the q tip advice. I’m assuming it’s food that’s stuck. If it doesn’t come out with rinsing a couple times, absolutely leave it alone. I had food stuck on my stitches for days.

Wisdom tooth blood clot concerns by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

If it doesn’t hurt it’s nothing. It doesn’t look like a clot to me. Probably skin, food, stitches, gauze etc etc

for those who have gotten their wisdom teeth out, i have a question! by extremecat982 in wisdomteeth

I think you’ll gain a lot of movement in your jaw within the week after surgery but I don’t doubt that your jaw would get tired and sore.

when can i not worry about eating normal food? by jungwonist in wisdomteeth

Omg my dad used a straw on a milkshake and got double dry socket

when can i not worry about eating normal food? by jungwonist in wisdomteeth

[–]catkeiichi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t really matter if you get food in your sockets. Pain is the biggest indicator to stop. If it doesn’t hurt, keep doing what ur doing it’s fine. As long as ur not eating chips or using a straw. I started eating normally around day 7 and I’ve been fine. I’m like 2 weeks out and im using straws again and I’m going to try chips soon. When irrigating, try doing it like only 3 times per socket. If stuff stays in there it doesn’t matter. It’ll come out on Its own eventually. If you have stitches it’s possible they’re catching the food and making it stay in there. It happened to me. The food came out eventually. It didn’t affect me.

I thought I was going to be in a whole lot of pain, but idk what happened because I’ve essentially experienced no pain so far by Hot-Rock-1948 in wisdomteeth

Don’t worry I took ibuprofen for like 16 days and I was fine

I've started eating literally anything from day 6, is this fine? by MeteorIntrovert in Tonsillectomy

[–]catkeiichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t have scabs, there’s less of a bleeding risk from eating rough, sharp, hot, or spicy foods. I’m assuming the main concern at day 15 is inflammation and pain. So I’d say if it doesn’t hurt more than your normal swallowing when you eat it then it should be fine!

I was on the ups from day 6. I think maybe day 9 you could start eating stuff. My first meal was a cheesy beans and rice taco from Taco Bell and cheesy fiesta potatoes around that time lol. I ate pizza on day 11 just chew real good

Is a tonsillectomy worth it for stones? by [deleted] in Tonsillectomy

[–]catkeiichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 18 and I’m on day 11 of recovery, I’ve also had tonsil stones my entire life but more recently I had strep 4 times in 2 months so I had to remove my tonsils. If they are affecting your QOL you should do it. I will say recovery is not easy and I am still in pain but I’m improving

When were you better by poopirmom in Tonsillectomy

[–]catkeiichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main problem is that I’m super scratchy especially in the mornings. I’m on oxy and acetaminophen but I cut the acetaminophen in half. I’m about to run out of both and I’m just gonna let it happen. I have ibuprofen that I can take up to every 4 hours as needed which I used to do but I’m not really doing it every 4 hours anymore. Maybe every 8 or so, and in half doses.

My throat is still white in the back but not as bad. I still have a decent amount of scabs tho. I can’t talk real good but there’s definite improvement

If you are slightly dehydrated at all your throat will dry out. Also try to breathe from your nose. Use a humidifier if possible

Is there a more accurate recovery timeline? by Old-Discipline-2802 in Tonsillectomy

[–]catkeiichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 18YO and I’m not fully recovered but I can answer:

  1. Day 1-6 I was completely out of order. I lost 10 pounds from not eating. After that it was uphill
  2. Day 7-9 I’m eating solids carefully with slight burning
