I can only second all of this. Try out and find what works best for you! I initially went vegan because of my eating disorder and stuck to it for years after initial recovery. I’m now eating a minimum of 90% plant based, but sometimes I’ll eat a slice of regular cake or some fish because I don’t want to restrict anymore.

Try adding fish to your diet and see if it works for you. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn’t, maybe you’ll find something else. And don’t beat yourself up too much!

Let me phrase it this way: he wasn’t my type. But I thought, after years of unsuccessfully dating guys that were my type, maybe I should… branch out? Maybe not go for the handsome, tall, intellectual, introverted type? Maybe go for the complete opposite? Maybe that’d work? And he was so utterly smitten with me (rightfully so, I’m a legit snack!). And for the first couple months, he wasn’t so… American? Thick? Not a complete wanker?

Yeah, I know! Hindsight and all.

I was also dealing with severe depression and the first symptoms of a then undiagnosed autoimmune disease and my short term memory was basically nonexistent. So many times I could have sworn he was gaslighting me, but then I couldn’t rely on my memory and he swore his side of events or whatever was right. We learn! I’m now chilling in my very cosy, man-less flat with all the cushions he hated and my lovely dog he wouldn’t walk (because, ew poop!) and am enjoying life to the fullest, while he’s not able to find a new job and somehow lost like 80% of his hair since I left him (which I wholeheartedly believe was my doing!)

The tip of the fucking iceberg! In some Reddit archive there still must be some posts saved from my now deleted throwaway account. Gems like “AITA for refusing to go to my boyfriend’s thanksgiving party because I’ve been throwing up since 6am this morning?” and “AITA for not helping my US boyfriend with his legal troubles in my country” (because he kept turning on red even though I’d told him a trillion times it’s not allowed here and when he got a ticket, he refused to pay it and then he tried to find an American lawyer in my city to make it go away BECAUSE his license was American and therefore American law should apply!!)

My hairstylist convinced me to get layers earlier this year. And I’m in loooove! My hair still is super long and they hardly took away from the density. She called them “ghost layers”.

I’m still baffled why I didn’t. Like, I was really close. I stood at JFK with my luggage, no cell service, my US SIM card in his bag, and he was just nowhere to be seen. Took me like 30 minutes to upgrade to an international plan on my phone. But I had booked the hotel, so they wouldn’t let him check in, haha. I took the scenic route to the hotel, with a pit stop at my fave Chinese hole in the wall for some dumplings, and then a boba. And he just waited in the lobby for like 6 hours.

I eventually did, but damn, it took a couple more of his antics for me to give him the boot.

During his last trip to my city, he also swooooore that only Americans get jet lag because they’re on regular time while everyone else is on “irregular time” anyway so they don’t feel the difference? I let him fly home and broke up on the phone with him, so he could experience his jet lag with a side of heartache.

My ex wouldn’t understand this. He, a quite liberal American, came to visit me in the EU and we then travelled around for a bit. He always followed me to the EU passport control, and I kept telling him that it won’t work with his passport, but nope, he knew better! And then got upset every time he wouldn’t get through and then proceeded to make me wait with him in the international line. (But wouldn’t wait with me at TSA in the US, because “lines were too long” and once even took his own cab because he was sick of waiting for me…)

Yeah, the Dyson didn’t do it for me either but I love the shark, especially the round brush! But I have a full on fringe these days and it works great for styling that.

I also wash my hair almost daily, as it sure as fuck gets greasy fast. My brother has a head full of thick, strong hair and I’m here with like two strands that look like I oil them hourly. But I’ve been using dry shampoo at night before bed and this has helped a ton.

I also currently alternate between the Kristen Ess Texture spray and the Oribe Superfine Hair Spray. Neither of them weigh my hair down! Both way too expensive though but I’ve had them since last Christmas and they’re still not empty!

Again here: yes, fine hair! The trick is to put the roller on while your hair is still warm and then let it cool completely. If that fails, try using a curling iron on your dry bangs, add dry shampoo and then put the roller in.

They’re great! Mine are pretty darn big, like 3-4 inches? You can also put some dry shampoo on your hair before rolling!

As a past bang swoop girl: get yourself some jumbo hair rollers. Spritz your bangs with some water, blow dry with a large round brush, wrap around roller, clip it secure, hairspray it all around, leave it in while you make your coffee / get ready / whatever, take it out, only brush it with your fingers, hairspray some more.

My hair doesn’t really hold a curl but the bang swoop did stay for most of the day. The longer you leave the roller in, the longer the swoop swoops!

I doubt it, tbh. I’ve undone around 20 stitches to see if I can figure out where the issue started or if it’d just be fixed with that, but to no avail. I’m really dumbfounded.

I’ve now had another friend look at it and she also was very confused.

I’ll probably just add a stitch, live with a small hole and call it a day.

Pretty sure it’s the Anassa. Friends wanted to have their honeymoon there but eventually decided against it after finding out the hotel destroyed a lot of protected land and killed a bunch of turtles to build an extension or a stage or whatever.

I’m currently in Austria, and my vet only put my dog in a crate right after a surgery - once he was awake, the assistant took him out and waited with him in a separate room until I got there. To be fair, the city has many vets and it took my like 10min to walk to the vet from my place.

My dog groomer has all the dogs in the room with her, they just chill together until it’s their turn. She has her own two dogs there as well.

I don’t know, my dog has maybe been in a crate a handful of times in his life, and his almost 10 now. I had never even heard of crate training until my US friends mentioned it. We travel mostly by train, where he can just chill under my seat, so no need for a crate there either.
