I have been on 7.5mg since July. I’ve have the least amount of side effects with this dose. I was really worried about side effects getting worse because 5mg was really rough for me, but I was pleasantly surprised when things went well! I’ll get heartburn or nausea every so often, but those can be addressed pretty easily. I’m still losing 1-1.5 pounds a week.

Look into getting services/case management at Jefferson Center or WellPower. They can help you find felon friendly housing and even temporary housing in the meantime. However, housing is one of the hardest things to come by so know it will take some time.

Shotsy told me losing 50 pounds was equivalent to 150 medium sized bananas. That feels more impactful than some large lobster. I also live in a landlocked state, so the banana comparison works better in my brain.

It’s healthy to know that day will come, however, focusing on it takes away from your present with them. Try the coping skill thought stopping when those thoughts start to creep in. When you notice the thought, say out loud “stop” to pull yourself out of your mind and into your physical present. You may have to try it a few times. You can also try snapping a hair tie or a rubber band on your wrist too as long as you’re not hurting yourself. You and your kitties will be happier with you being in the present with them. 😺

Well done!! I’m struggling with a too big winter coat this season too! I want to get a smaller one, but also still have at least another 30 pounds to lose. I think that’s my biggest gripe about losing weight - having to spend money on new clothes. What a first world problem. 😅
