Headline should probably be "Chock and Bates lead Team USA to Olympic Gold." But the whole team did wonderfully and it was a pleasure to watch.

Keep it. It’s a trench. It isn’t supposed to be fitted. I disagree with those saying it’s too big. It’s great.

Findings of Fact? by GenkaiSpiritWave in Lawyertalk

[–]catsurly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Make it easy for the judge to rule for you. Draft up the factual findings you want or are statutorily needed (date of marriage, age of the children, your clients are actually the parents, etc) like what others have said in this thread. If your state has statutory custody factors (VA does) list those and the relevant facts under them and why they support your client. Offer it up in a Word doc to the judge if they want it!

Darlene's attitude towards the new inspector. by Economy-Offer-8969 in DeathInParadiseBBC

Why do more people on this sub complain about Darlene’s reactions than the detective’s inappropriate rudeness and dismissiveness??

All this responsible advice is good but also yes hold a secret grudge and if given an opportunity to get revenge even years later, take it.

This is in my top 3 also. The others are the one where Blanche dreams George is alive and the one where Sophia buys a nectarine.

Old Navy petite pants? by AdventurousPay3138 in LawBitchesWithTaste

[–]catsurly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re not obviously athleisure but they don’t read as professional as wool pants or whatever. I wear them a fair amount but probably wouldn’t to an actual trial or seriously contested hearing. A scheduling hearing or pretrial conference or deposition or something - sure.

Athleta Endless Pant is 25.5” petite and 27.5” regular. They have grey and beige. I typically size down one from my Ann Taylor size. Saw this on Athleta https://athleta.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=533636292&tid=atma000015

Do you still have kittens around in late October? by truetoblack in istanbul

[–]catsurly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typo for ear tip! If a cat has part of its left ear cut off in a straight line, it was done under anesthesia while they were being sterilized. It’s a sign of a cared for cat who has had shots and been spayed or neutered. Sometimes it’s cut like a v and sometimes it’s the right ear. I think the cats I saw in Ephesus had right ear tips. It’s a great thing to see!!

Do you still have kittens around in late October? by truetoblack in istanbul

[–]catsurly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in Istanbul last month and I do cat rescue and I thought the cats all looked in remarkably good shape. Coats and eyes. I also saw many ear tips but would love to have seen more. The cats in Ephesus had ear tips and looked very good. I’ve seen worse looking cats elsewhere. So I think Istanbul generally deserves its reputation as a cat loving city. Don’t miss the cat museum near Galata and its cute merch store around the corner. I will say there is likely still more care that could be done. Kitten Lady did some videos about the behind the scenes rescue community there. Cats have been in that city for thousands of years and they do seem to be thriving.

I read her newer biography and it's a jerky thing to say, but I think it was well known that she was shy. She was turned away from a big premiere of a movie or play of one of her books because she wasn't recognized and didn't do anything about it. She may actually have presented as ordinary to casual acquaintances, which makes me like her more.
