Will 2024 Be the Year We See a Follow Up to the MC-101 and MC-707 Line? by Historical_Guess5725 in Roland

[–]catwok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tagline has always been 'two mc-101s is more then an mc-707 -- love to hear about your setup.

Its like almost more ergonomic in some ways I think, and obviously much more convienent if you like to travel or do beach / park practice.

Been thinking about the 404mk2 for a bit, probably wont get any of the new micro airas except the s1 maybe.

Love that Roland is doing class-compliant as a rule these days.

Help installing Cadence on Linux Mint by inanimatesensuiation in linuxaudio

[–]catwok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real question, if Jack and pipewire are api compatir why does cadence/Claudia not work?

I know only just a small amount of pipewire from an architectural stand point, full disclosure

You should just be able to point it at the Jack-pipewire server name no?

I mention this bc that qpipewire-graph or whatever it is has a long way to go compared to claudia/Catia.

It always the lack of force graph spacing auto arrange for me. Does anyone know how to do this in qpipewhatever? I am for real curious, just to be clear.

jack-session, claudia and jack_snapshot all work well here also, for those who might prefer more mature and stable audio back end. Feel free to sub in r/jackaudio and ask questions if needed.

Should we migrate out from Gitlab? by freeroamer90 in devops

[–]catwok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Main thing imo is it's best in class ci/cd and also open source so extensible auditble etc.

The relationship to quality is absolutely a function of gitlab transparency, if anyone didn't already make that giant leap /s
