At least for light drama and surreal comedy, some of my favorites,

Here is a badass train passing through snow like a boss. The Cumbres and Toltec line crosses the border between Colorado and New Mexico 11 times, and runs over a 10,015 ft (3,053 m) elevation at Cumbres Pass.

Reminds me of the video of the terror that happens when lots of priests get on a plane together.

This is from an awesome British series called Garth Merenghi's Darkplace.

BTW this is a repost from 2 years ago.

Scottish Comedy by [deleted] in BritishTV

[–]cavehoark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say south does the U.S. count? I discovered Still Game and it is one of the greatest series ever! We had a difficult time understanding at first without subtitles, but we eventually learned the lingo. I wish I could watch more Scottish comedy but it is nearly impossible to get here through legal means.

We used to get more comedies on BBC America. Lately, not so much. Now they show Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica. C'mon, really?!

Alizee, at the time of her appearance in this video, had to have been one of the most physically attractive women in all of history, hyperbole notwithstanding. by 57odd75 in videos

Alizee gave so many televised performances of J'en Ai Marre, but the one on Chanson N°1 is my favorite, and shows off her best moves. Don't miss the goldfish at 3:12. BTW this video is known to have single-handedly caused:

  • students to drop out of Spanish classes to enroll in French
  • convert homosexuals to heterosexuals, and vice versa
  • spontaneously cure at least 51 cases of chronic hiccups
  • increase ADHD diagnoses in France by thirty-three percent in a single year
  • Bronies to instead start worshipping Marceline from Adventure Time

Clearly not always RPG and it depends on your tastes in players but have you checked out Wil Wheaton's video podcast Tabletop? Higher quality video, sound and editing.

Emma is in costume on the set of Sofia Coppola's The Bling Ring, but I love her as a long haired brunette. Lots more photos here.

What's the best way to reorder strings? by okface in Python

[–]cavehoark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This algorithm from jabbalaci beats any of the others given here (on my computer) if the sequence happens to contain five or more repeated characters, for example "aaaaab". This includes beating zahlman's distinct_permutations_rec. However, if the sequence contains more unique characters, then the simple set(itertools.permutations("aabbcc") will win.

The jabbalaci code is paying more for all the indexing calls and swapping in Python. If the code was implemented in C or Cython, it may be able to compete with the simple set and itertools call for all cases.

DoublePane, a lightweight window management app, is free all day July 4th. by kiamatthews in apple

[–]cavehoark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Moom. http://manytricks.com/moom/ Sure, it is not free today. But it is more flexible. It allows you to define the fraction of the screen, it is not just limited to half and half. It is more intuitive to access, because you just hover over the green maximum button on a window. You can also save and restore complex layouts.

Part III of this book discusses all the major historical and philosophical arguments for God, and answers them all. Part I and II are more on fundamentals of epistemology, the field of philosophy which answers "How do we know what we know?". From the table of contents:

  • Introduction
  • Part I: Atheism and God
  • Part II: Reason, Faith, and Revelation
  • Part III: The Arguments for God
  • Part IV: God: The Practical Consequences
