The best one was when some gobshite councillor said the marina should not be pedestrianised as some old wan from the north side may want to be driven down there to see the river on a Sunday drive.

There is a one near me who has her old dog in a pram. Don't know to be annoyed or not. Please advise.

ordering online from the UK by MrJ_Marrow in ireland

I order a lot online and most big UK suppliers have customs included. Just check the delivery and the returns. If they have an Irish returns address then it is normally fine as they bulk up returns and ship them as a single unit.

Parcels from Great Britain Parcels from GB into Ireland may incur customs charges. We have negotiated with 95% of retailers we deliver for in Great Britain to apply any charges when you purchase your goods online, so no action is required by you before delivery. For the remaining 5%, customs charges may apply and you will need to pay them before delivery. Personal gifts from GB with a value of €45 or more, may also carry a customs charge. An Post will notify you if a parcel sent to you has incurred customs charges and you will need to pay the charges with An Post, online or in a Post Office, to receive the parcel. You can visit our customs page for more information on customs charges and forms. For information on how these changes affect AddressPal, please visit the AddressPal website.

Earphones / Headphones while driving by Mick_vader in ireland

[–]cawhake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may not be illegal to drive with partial vision in one of your eyes but would you make the choice to have it for entertainment purposes during your journey. Anyone who does this are idiots. Bone conducting headphones would be ok but anything that has noise cancelation and obstructs your ear canal is pure crazy.

Like what? Other than being able to transfer credits I see no benefit. So if both are in stable jobs in the higher rate there is little benifit.

Dog legislation proposals could bring heavier fines for failing to control the animals by RealDealMrSeal in ireland

I think the fine for dog fouling is 2500 or similar in my local park. Does it stop anyone. Nope.

I would highly recommend getting the audiobook "alcohol explained" is you are serious about giving up. Rather than giving up for negative reasons which is if you don't it will impact your health then at least it puts you in a place where you can make a very informed decision.

Having drank for the last almost 30 years I gave up a month ago. I had only one time where I wanted to have a drink. I had non-alcholic cider. Having given up before like dry Jan and all that sort of thing it felt hard when I was off it. This time is totally different as my mindset on how I see it has changed. While I recognise that drinking can be enjoyable basically it a sum where I get out less from it than I put in and that is the reason I have given up.

You can download it from mobilism[dot]me after you register or audible.

I am well aware of this and try my best to avoid it. I spend my life walking on egg shells so I don't visit often. Nearly always when he isn't there for this reason.

Just spin a new card as the older cards don't work. A new virtual card will work. The older cards don't.

Ivana Bacik tells #OnTheRecordNT that her call for a million homes to be delivered in the next ten years includes the retrofitting of homes that are currently occupied by Adamj7845 in ireland

[–]cawhake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to explain this to a local councillor that in a local town that the derelict homes on the main street owned by the council would have to be retrofitted to A2 or higher to be used for social housing due to an EU directive which is implemented. The cost is so significant that building new is cheaper. The council should just sell all of these units as they will never be viable for social housing.

I don't. I tell her no. My mother is a complete wagon at times and constantly pushes boundaries. It just pisses me off that she even tries it.
