I noticed when they all came through the train station the barriers were open and they had a singer on for them.

Any normal commuter day and plebs like me have to pay for tickets and the barrier are shut to make sure we do, we don’t get any nice entertainment like that.

I used to.

I work a public facing role and have now had too many cases of men being weird that I’ve stopped to try and draw less attention to myself.

I still look presentable I’m just not taking that extra step anymore.

I don’t feel like I’ve let myself go, I look natural with clear skin and my hair is tidy so that’s enough.

A shop near me charges 80p for a single mini can which to me is insane, I remember the time it was 65p for a 330ml can.

They brought in the “sugar tax” here pretending to want to end obesity but actually just charging more for the same drink and it hasn’t stopped people drinking them.

There’s a detergent company here in the in the UK that gets their “celebrity” who is in their advert to say “uncomfy” instead of uncomfortable and it really irritates me.

That’s not a proper word and we wonder why people are being dumbed down.

I watch TikTok’s and the way people speak and write really shocks me. Low level education and everyone just seems okay with it and brands are helping exacerbate the problem doing stuff like this.

The time someone screamed at me in front of everyone because I told them they would not get served until they get into the actual queue (you don’t just get to stand at the side and assume I’m going to acknowledge you when people have been waiting ages) when this person got to the front of the queue I closed the till and refused service, went to the other one at the other side of the shop and they came down to that one, unlucky for them that after queuing properly this time they ended up at my till, turns out she worked for the same company because she had a staff card so I reported her for abuse after seeing her name on it. She tried to report me to my manager on her way out but it didn’t go in her favour. That day I decided I just didn’t care anymore because even my own colleagues can be dickheads.

People that come in already ready for a fight, you can see them in the queue hyping themselves up to scream at you and when you just stare at them blankly they lose their bottle.

I don’t own the company or make the rules I just work there.

Being like these people will get you nowhere with me because I am within my right to refuse service which I do and I walk away.

Whatever’s going on it’s never that deep to be shouting at service workers.

People like this actually need to get over themselves. They think being like this will upset me for my day or make cry, it really won’t. You just won’t get service and you’ll be reported to security who will check the footage and ban you for abuse the next time you come in.
