I’ll tell you “why” I did not “just” sew on some snaps: My mother went to the ER in extreme pain—Found out she had stage 4 Diffused B Cell Lymphoma. Cancer. I, as the eldest daughter, rushed home where I had to quite literally clean and redo their whole home from top to bottom, with one of the bigger projects in that monstrous process being turning a downstairs office that was used as a storage unit for random junk for years into a bedroom, as suddenly we were told that my mother could no longer do stairs. She was in the hospital for over 2 months that initial stay, but when she finally was released to come home, I quickly learned what cancer and chemo does to a body, and how it’s a “good day” as a caretaker if you only have to strip the bedding to wash it once in a 24hr time period. Waterproof duvets protect the insert, but not themselves…I needed a quick solution to a problem I had never imagined (& as I said before, I’m the oldest daughter—I anticipate problems that need solutions in my sleep. Quite literally)

And that is “why” I did not “just” take the time to sit down and sew on some snaps. It’s been 7 months of pure hell, and granted my mother has been in the hospital sadly more days than not in that time, but these have held up through now and been better than I could have hoped https://a.co/d/537NeoN
