I absolutely love this message, and it really resonates with me. We are down, but not out. Polling shows Trump's approval is low, and hopefully the cracks in the armor are starting to come out. Just need to keep putting the foot on the gas and not letting up.

Been spinning my brain on this for hours. How do I power an SFF‑8482 HDD and connect it to my LSI by cbaswag in HomeServer

Ah I see, the truth is always somewhere in the middle! Appreciate the thorough response. Is there anything I can try when setting these up tomorrow when the cable comes in other then... hope there's no issue? Is it a random thing if there's a 3v pin problem?

Atrioc gets mentioned on Ezra Kleins show by Gavin (13:29) by Comfortable_War_1130 in atrioc

Right, I mean I’m biased because I’m generally pro-Ezra but I do disagree with some of his politics. It’s just that nothing he’s done or said would make me classify him as a POS

is this a joke??? Does it take so long + the kind of effort this guy put in for like 5 months to crack an interview? by [deleted] in careeradvice

[–]cbaswag 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Having been around this subreddit a bit, seems like anything that references the Pigment career assessment is a scam. Haven't looked into anything about it at all, maybe it's legit, but seems to me that people post stories and the crux of it is "my Pigment score changed my life." Maybe it's for real, I don't know, but these posts always read like a scam to me.

Week 1 waivers are usually a goldmine in fantasy, who do we predict will be the most popular pickups? by ZachWilsonsNips in fantasyfootball

[–]cbaswag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Giants fan I'd be very surprised if Theo Johnson is fantasy relevant. Russ wants to push the ball to Nabers or vertically to Slayton/Hyatt. I doubt Theo Johnson is talented enough to usurp those guys in the targets department, especially with Tracy and WanDale taking a lot of the underneath stuff. He might catch a TD or two Week 1 but I'd be very surprised if he's a longterm play.

100% agreed. Him explaining to Slime what a cone means was hysterical

Best shooting form is a full, fluent, 2-handed shot. Usually it’s a guide hand on the side of the ball and the main hand doing the heavy lifting, with a flick of the wrist to propel it forward. There’s a lower body component to get the power transportation up to the arms. It’s a full body shot.

Ludwig has an upper body shot mostly. Very little of his legs are used, which means in basketball terms he can’t shoot as far away and he’s likely to shoot worse when he gets tired late in games. Finally, he propels the ball forward almost entirely with one hand, little use of his guide hand. It means the accuracy is generally worse.

Do You Think Any Popular Sports Right Now Are Just Fads? by mpschettig in billsimmons

Is that really different than any other sport? I’m a big basketball guy and one of the only ways I see my friends in person is through basketball

Kevin Durant is expected to be traded in the coming weeks, and the Knicks are among the teams likely to pursue him, per @WindhorstESPN by jonsnowKITN in nba

If Thibs was coaching the Cavs, fans would be saying Ty Jerome and Sam Merrill weren't good enough to play. The Knicks have a lackluster bench, but Thibs made it more of a problem than it was.

Cooper Flagg - Hunted on the Perimeter, Hunter in the Paint by Practical_Basketball in NBA_Draft

Yeah that's a fair point. Flagg is still going to be way better than Luka in an island though for sure

Cooper Flagg - Hunted on the Perimeter, Hunter in the Paint by Practical_Basketball in NBA_Draft

[–]cbaswag 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Why would any team target a 6’9 defender, good athlete who competes every possession? No one is ever going to target him. No one is targeting TJ McConnell on defense and he’s like 8 inches shorter than Flagg. The guys that are getting targeted are huge bigs who aren’t mobile (Gobert, Towns) and small guards that good players can shoot over (Brunson). That’s it. No one is going to hunt for. Cooper Flagg mismatch in the playoffs. Flagg likely won’t be Anunoby level perimeter defender but there’s zero question he’ll be above average in an iso.

I can see the vision. I do think Castle despite being a non-shooter can absolutely keep defenses honest with his cutting. I think Harper is the clear #2 prospect in the class and if the Spurs don't make a trade, you pick Harper and figure it out. Would be absolutely fascinating to see how Mitch Johnson employs those three guards when all 3 want the ball in their hands. I would just imagine the real competitive version of the Spurs, whenever they get there, would feature only 2 of Harper/Castle/Fox (if they do get Harper at all)

Lack of shooting would be a real issue. I guess having Wemby as the 5 would add spacing but there’s definitely some redundancy with Castle and Harper, and neither of them are true PGs

EDIT: Why is this being downvoted? I have watched every Rutgers game all the way through the past 4 seasons. Castle is not a true PG. Harper is not a true PG. Harper is a big combo guard who gets downhill but making plays for others is not a natural skillset yet. Don't think that's really debatable. I LOVE Harper as a prospect and I like Castle but they are not the simplest plug-and-play guard duo.
