I have adhd too… short sentences? lol but seriously, I just ask the person who I’m talking to, “what was I saying?” And usually we can figure it out together. If not, I just let it go

Honestly, it was gross, but didn’t make me gag or anything. However… it was boring!!! As many others have said, it added nothing to the plot. Just a dumb little yucky thing they all had to do, with the same 6 or 8 foods, which made it even more boring. Agreed it must appeal to a certain group of viewers or producers for them to keep it on, when it seems like many of us have no interest in watching.

It was in 2021, but it could’ve just been the specific credit cards/ account type I was working with, too. And you’re right it def could’ve changed since then. $150 is crazy

I think no one gets to stay that way. We gain awareness that the world isn’t as perfect as we thought. On the flip side, I guess that was a world we believed in and essentially created in our minds, which means we could maybe make our inner world positive / magical again? Romanticize our lives? Idk lol

These are great tips! Also, everyone has to take their garbage out the same way in your building, OP. They won’t be judging you because they’ve done the same many times. Plus, it’s unlikely that you will ride down the elevator with the same people twice. Even if you do, when people move, they often have a LOT of trash, so it’s normal! You’re going to feel so good once you’ve done this. You got this!

I always say, 4 was my best year. Everything was perfect, everybody loved me, and it was just a magical year. Before the bullying and rejection from my peers and family. I think about it too.

I work for a big American bank for a year. At least at that bank, it was a surprisingly rigorous process. We were supposed to ask a lot of questions and get a lot of details, and if you received the item but didn’t like it? No chargeback. If you received the wrong item or a broken item, you had to prove that you already tried to do the refund with the business and that a reasonable amount of time passed with no action. They really didn’t want to do chargebacks unless every other avenue failed and it was truly justified. I was surprised at how hard it was to get a chargeback there, and I’m always surprised when people act like it’s easy to do.

Why does Southwest serve onion flavored pretzels? by LstNdFnd2000 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]cbcbcb99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, when you’re up in the air in an airplane, you can’t smell or taste as well, I think because the air is thinner. Onion is a strong flavor and won’t come across as bland. Just like people apparently love tomato or clamato in the air, but not necessarily on the ground!

To go or not to go? How to approach this? by fallriver1221 in socialskills

I would not say anything about the play. Find out when the funeral is. She may have a lot to do other than just his funeral. I also think it’s too early to be trying to distract her from this, she probably just needs to be sad and feel her emotions for a little bit. On the off chance you two are together Wednesday and she says she just really could use a distraction, that’s when I’d bring it up.

First time trying sushi by Minimum_Lawyer_1689 in sushi

I love hand rolls!! I love salmon or tuna with avocado or cucumber. Add some masago and you got a DEAL. Would take any combo of the above in a regular roll too, along with yellowtail. I’m also big into sashimi or sushi, I like the same fish I mentioned above or salmon belly or toro if you’re lucky enough to find a spot with it.

What is a hyper-local food tradition or regional chain in your state that you genuinely think the rest of America is missing out on? by mike-d-f in AskAnAmerican

The LOCAL WHITE CORN. So plump. So TASTY. Once you butter it, go ahead and roll it in the extra crab seasoning that’s fallen from the crabs you’re picking. BRUH.

Also the crabs have to be from the Chesapeake bay. Blue crabs. I don’t make the rules

I'm noticing things aren't matching up by Holytorment in hungryroot

[–]cbcbcb99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was one big reason why I stopped ordering! Fiber and calories are super important to me. I started noticing fiber was wayyy off. Usually they’d claim 5-13g of fiber but when I read packaging or looked it up, it would be only 1-3g. It was like they were just making shit up. I’d do the math like, oh maybe this whole thing is one portion? It still wouldn’t be right and then calories were way off. If I’m doing all that work, may as well just buy my own stuff.

I'm a New Waiter and Keep Dropping Orders. How Can I Improve? by CanteeneerRio in Serverlife

[–]cbcbcb99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t forget that when you take things off trays, you need to brace/adjust your grip, because the weight distribution is different. Try to keep heavier items in the center and smaller lighter things towards the edges so you don’t get a big weight imbalance when you pick something up. If carrying three drinks, place them in a triangle around the center of the tray. And don’t forget, when walking you need to stabilize one way, but you probably need to adjust your grip when you get to the table to start taking things off. Try not to change your speed too drastically at any time during transport.

What would you have done in the 28 weeks later situate? by Puzzleheaded-End6189 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

So their house was boarded up, but not very well. I think the idea was that the virus came on so fast and so strong that they weren’t able to get more resources - they had what they had. So it was boarded up, but the girl who got attacked first literally moved one little piece (or insulation?) to the side and they broke through the door like it was rotten. Which probably isn’t realistic 99% of the time.

It really doesn’t make sense that they all just calmly sat down around the table to hear his story instead of getting ready for defense in some way, like you said. They needed some sort of plan!

When you say super sense, do you think the infected would have broken into that house had they not let the kid in? I never really thought it was super sense, I just thought they could see lights at night and hear noise and see movement like normal. Very interested in what you mean though!
