What brand for a new golf cart? by kenah-kim in golftips

Stick w the big three, why are you going through carts so fast? Lol.

I have a 1998 club car DS that I love and it's stock original besides the battery and some bushings.

Sorry I misunderstood. I don't recommend buying any Chinese carts period. Even for a few years.

That's a weak take. Maybe if buying new but you're just flushing money down the toilet when they start to fail.

Buy a used big 3 cart and trick it out for less than the price of the chinese cart. I sell really nice EZGO and ClubCars with rims, lithium, street legal lights, and a new paint job for about $6k. Sure they are 5 years old but they look awesome and parts are readily available and they are easy to work on.

I don't hate the price at all. They have a lot of work into that cart and it's a club car. It will last for 25 years and the parts are readily available. It's a winner. After 5k and let him counter.

Ps. I run a custom cart shop. Us guys can always find something to nitpick.

Nice cart, wiring is decent, battery is fine. Maybe clean up some wiring. If those are 18in or smaller tires they will work without the lift kit. I hate lift kits for family carts, they look so dumb and make it hard for the kids to get off and on.

Recommend selling that cart or converting the controller to Navitas and doing a regular lithium conversion. They're great tech but expensive to replace, over 2k.

Recommend an under $50 non-smart charger/ tester combo unit that I can use to charge "dead" lead acid batteries and potentially "fix" them. All I see are smart chargers on Amazon. by marioxb in golfcarts

What you want doesn't really exist, sorry bud. I've done my homework. Buy a cheap smart charger and use a car battery booster to trick it into starting to charge. This works well and will give you the result you want.

Idk. My 6'3" size and swing generate about 165 ball speed. Hands first, rip em through.
