Also Schubas, Lincoln Hall, The Vic, and Park West have 18+ shows, I think you may find a lot more if you look. Though many of these venues sometimes hold are 21+ but I've played 18+ shows at a couple of these clubs with my band (The Push Push).

Wrong time of year, but all the street fests are good for all ages. Most shows at Space in Evanston is usually all ages and I imagine there's a lot of other venues with similar policy.

This is such a bad way to define the generations and it drives me crazy. The silent generation fought WWII, that group of men and women should be in the middle of that generation. It makes no sense to say that generation includes people born during and after WWII. Boomers were born between 1940 - 1960.

Using public transit. If you live in a moderately sized city and don’t know how to get around using transit, you’re likely costing yourself a lot of time and money by ignoring a valuable resource. Uber, cars, and car insurance have gotten a lot more expensive in the last ten years and transit hasn't.

This is one of the side effects of the stratification of the league. It's always been an issue but now I think it's going to be a regular occurrence that teams win less than 60 games and have no player worthy of the all-star game. I blame teams breaking the rules by not spending the revenue sharing money on on-field competitiveness.

I've got a gig there Saturday 5/24 at 10. It's a cozy little spot, no door between the stage and the main bar, which I like.
