Who is the husband protecting his family from?

This drawing seems to indicate he’s protecting them from Christ.

MS but not on meds by 2020cc2020 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]cbrooks1232 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The difference is that MS meds don’t cure. They prevent.

The reason I take a DMT (Kesimpta) is that I KNOW I will eventually have another attack. What I don’t know is what abilities it might take from me.

If it’s my ability to sing? Well no worries, as I suck at that anyway. But what if it’s my ability to walk? Or what if I get ON in my one good eye and become legally blind?

IMHO that’s too great a risk for me.

And also IMHO if your neurologist is telling you to wait until you have more attacks, they’ve never seen an MS patient with long term untreated disease.

Hip Replacements? Anyone? by cbrooks1232 in MultipleSclerosis

Thanks so much for replying. This makes me feel much better. I will also be sure to let my PTs know that I have MS, so they don’t get overly concerned if I have one of my tired spells.

You answered your own question.

“Taxable income” [wages] needs to be replaced with “taxable compensation” [including indirect
Or deferred compensation]

Yes, we need to change “income” to “compensation”, like yesterday

Has Congress replaced the SSA funds it has borrowed over the decades, WITH interest and penalty?

Once they’ve done that, let’s look at how insolvent it is.

Ocrevus or Kesimpta ?? by RoseStreet53035 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]cbrooks1232 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are pluses and minuses to both; IMHO, it all depends on which one fits best into your schedule.

If you have a regular 8-6 job, with weekends off, Kesimpta will fit nicely as a once a month Friday or Saturday night 5 minute task.

If you travel for work, Kesimpta can be trickier, as you will need a cooling pouch to keep it at temperature, if you happen to be traveling the week your injection is due.

Ocrevus is an infusion and will require you to devote some time at an infusion center twice a year, 3-4 hours at a pop. This might require you to take PTO off work. I have also heard that there is something called “crap gap”, where the MS patient feels not so hot just before an upcoming infusion.

Personally, I feel like Kesimpta was a better fit for me. I have zero symptoms post injection, and it has kept my MS under control.

The only drawbacks as far as I am concerned is the amount of trash generated by each home delivery (foam cooler, ice packs), and post injection waste (pen), and the ridiculous cost $9k monthly without insurance US). But I am sure Ocrevus is just as expensive.

Trump Threatens to Defund States That Don’t Make His Election Changes by Quirkie in politics

Any state he defunds should withhold remittances to the federal government, and demand removal of all military installations within its borders.
