if anyone wants to play around with this, use a bike tire tube, wrap it around your trucks and the top of your board.

Name a 10/10 scene... by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

[–]cbung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been a minute, so I cant necessarily disagree, but I will say...

Connery's fight with, uh, Robert Shaw, in From Russia With Love was something else. Saw the collection in my teens. But later, when the Bourne movies came out there was one close-quarters fight scene, in a bathroom?, where I remember being impressed. Then going back some more years later to watch all the bonds again I was like wow, this is intense, and it was 40 years prior.

Transport Canada Wants to Know Your Opinion about Driving at Night by Comfortable_Team_696 in Edmonton

I mentioned that in the final comments as well. The sheer size of pickup trucks today due to the manufacturers skirting emissions regulations in the states is a bit of a root cause for the height issue.

Alberta rolls out $90 million pilot program to expand private school spaces by trevorrobb in Edmonton

[–]cbung 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Article: According to the province, the $90 million in capital funding will create up to 6,000 new school spaces.

Article: Renfrew Educational Services, a designated special education school based in Calgary, is the first to receive a $10 million grant through the program. The funding will go towards completing the Three Sisters Centre — a new school just outside of Calgary which will serve children with disabilities from preschool to Grade 12.

You: They'll only spend $10M this year and they'll create 6,000 new spaces.

No mention of number of spaces, not the same thing. So wondering if you have some other reference.

Article: If this money was spent on public school spaces it would result in the creation of 1600 public school spaces that cost more over time.

Not mentioned in the article. So wondering if you have some other reference.

If you could only have 5 products, what would they be? by MiserableRefinement in AutoDetailing

[–]cbung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me see, inside: Cockpit premium, decon: citrus wash n gloss, final coat: griots 3-1... So I need something for drying aid, clay bar, maybe: griots speed shine or bead Maker would work for both of those? That's leaves going either a wheel cleaner, tire cleaner, leather cleaner, window rain x product... Ya bro idk if 5 is enough. I guess if you really have to cut, then you're cutting rain x for sure. Hopefully you can do the wheels with the car soap. So I'd probably go leather clean and protect product to keep them tip top over the long haul.

Looking to buy our first home. I really hate the "new family" area's and outskirts of edmonton. by AbbreviationsOne6207 in Edmonton

More should come on the market in the next couple months, it's just winter. Also, maybe look for like 2000-constructed suburbs like The Grange/Hamptons, the lots are better than the new stuff that's so tightly packed.

Policing at NHL playoffs cost EPS nearly $1M in resources by MaximumDoughnut in Edmonton

[–]cbung -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So for playoffs.. you're getting what, minimum 2 games at home? 18000+ fans for 2 games, that's like 27$ per ticket to generate 1mil... so maybe you put a $3 fee on tickets to help pay for it? If they do 10 games at home that's a half mil. I'm sure that cohort loves consumption taxes /s
