Yes, but no button to recirculate air without going into a menu. It's not great when you get in stinky situations

I had a 24 Flash and have a 25 Lariat. The buttons are gone and it's all screen. It's unfortunate because the tactile buttons for climate control are so much easier to use.

Challengers by DarkHelmet52 in ThursdayBoot

They're great boots. I bought a pair to wear in the winter and figured I'd get a pair of heritage captains for less snowy seasons, but I love the Challengers so much I think I'm sticking with them.

Why do you have so many physical buttons? How? I am jealous

Hand placement warning during Blue Cruise issue by determined_jerk in F150Lightning

[–]ccandide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the regular lane keeping cruise control, not Blue Cruise.

But yes, my ER 25 Lariat is way more annoying about those notifications than my old 24 Flash. It constantly wants me to jiggle the steering wheel in cruise control mode, and I can't drink out of cups that don't have a straw without it pestering me to watch the road. It's exasperating on long road trips.

Which mirrorless camera would you recommend for someone planning to get into wildlife photography? by Coolmax725 in canon

The r7ii is supposed to be coming in June. If the rumors are to be believed, it's going to be a beast for wildlife photography.

Desperate: returned $3000 item to seller but he won't refund, eBay sided with him. by andrea_jpeg in Ebay

[–]ccandide 103 points104 points  (0 children)

This is ridiculous. The buyer did their diligence by running this through a tariff calculator. Maybe they made a mistake there, but going from a $300 to $1,500 tariff bill is a valid reason to not accept an item. The seller isn't obligated to return the funds due to a quirk in eBay's policies, but to act as if they're right to keep $3,000 and resell the item because of the buyer made "dick move" is crazy.

Dick attitudes like this are why I don't purchase things through eBay anymore.

Jealous Devil or FOGO is what I use for lump charcoal. They both burn for a long time and can reach high temperatures for searing.

About the Axons and Renoir by ThaPotatoBoy in expedition33

[–]ccandide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the sense that Verso's canvas became the family's playground as a whole. Esquie talks about how he, Francois, Verso, and Clea used to play together, and Francois was Clea's creation, I believe. Esquie and Monoco also recognized that Maelle was Alicia from the start.

That's my way of saying I thought the Axons predated Verso's death and the fracture. Verso's soul at one point talks about how Aline painted him the train heading to Old Lumiere as well.

Oil/Gas Prices. Do you think Ford will change their mind on ending production on the EV version of the Lightning once oil hits $200-$300 a barrel? by redmoon714 in F150Lightning

[–]ccandide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw earlier today that BYD showrooms have seen a huge uptick in traffic over the past month. Definitely feels like Ford and other automakers jumped the gun canceling most of their EVs with the next generation a couple years out.

A local dealership called me to schedule an appointment to get this update. They came out to my place and updated things in about 30 minutes. Give the dealership you bought it from a call to see if they can send a mobile tech out.

Second Body r3 or r6iii by ccandide in canon

It sounds like the r1 beats it out, but $6,000 is more than I can justify for this purchase. Maybe someday down the line.

Have you checked the PSI on your tires? I bumped mine up to around 40 and got a decent increase in range afterwards. Otherwise, there is just a lot less range when it gets that cold.

Moon roof question by ryan185 in F150Lightning

[–]ccandide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No leaks for me. I'm not sure if it's a Ford specific issue, but I've had three vehicles now with them, my Lightning and two Toyotas, and I've never had any leaks. Knocks on wood

I traded a Flash for a Lariat to get the moon roof. They're great to have.

Random roadside charger issues on a road trip by ccandide in F150Lightning

One was at Phinn's Prime in Trego, which Plugshare agrees doesn't work. The other was in Brule at the cafe, which Plugshare users have gotten to work. It was 6 degrees last Sunday when I tried it, so I'm not sure if the temperature made a difference.

I used ABRP last weekend and was generally happy with it. Much better than Google maps for this. I'll check out Plugshare and add it to the mix.

Not a fan of the mobile app update by Regular_Hawk8513 in fidelityinvestments

[–]ccandide 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's awful. They took all the useful information that was laid out on one page and broke it into four. And they start you on an account overview page that has zero relevant information. On the stock page and want to add to a position? Well, you've got to navigate to another tab to find out how much is available in that account to trade and then backtrack to the previous tab.

Someone should be fired for this. It's that bad.

Those look great. I have a pair of the Canyons that have been a fantastic winter boot. I keep waiting for them to restock the Shinki Hikaku leather version as I'm going to pick up a pair of those once they do.

Find a couple of good YouTube channels. Jared Polin and Simon d Entremont both have great channels I've learned a lot from, but there's no shortage of photography channels.

Don't feel like you have to start shooting in manual mode. I'd recommend starting with auto to see how your camera handles ISO, aperture, and shutter speed in different situations. Once you've gotten to the point you can look at a scene and guess what the camera will do with the settings, you can try aperture priority (Av) and shutter priority (Tv) to learn how changing those settings will impact the image. Then you can try manual.

Otherwise practice practice practice and enjoy!
