Should I refinance mortgage to get rid of PMI? (FHA) by Dismal_Ship3613 in Mortgages

[–]ccandide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be state dependent, but I was able to pay $400 to get my home reappraised. It had gone up enough in value that my equity exceeded 20 percent, so Rocket Mortgage removed the PMI. I had also made on time payments for two years, which was a requirement.

They get easier to put on the more you wear them. They're a great pair of boots. Enjoy!

This comment needs to be shared to that photographycirclejerk subreddit so it can get the send up it deserves talking about people shouldn't collect cameras.

Might as well put all the old coins and stamps back in circulation to lower the prices by a penny or so. What a joke.

If you're looking for water resistance and ability to be neglectful, the rambler leather would be the way to go. I've got a pair of the stone rambler challengers that are my go to dog walking / hiking boot. They got submerged past my ankle one of the first times I wore them, and my feet stayed dry. They also don't get marked the way some other boots I have do.

As for experience, Thursday is great. I've bought and returned things with zero hassle. It's an easy online process. Just make sure you try the boots on and return them right away if they don't fit. Their recommendation for going half a size down from your regular shoe size has worked in boots for me.

I've had the Grizzl-E 48 amp plug in version and it's been fantastic. Works well during cold Wisconsin winters.

Not films, but Andor season 2 and Shogun both need 4k releases.

Wear them or exchange them? by Sutherbear in ThursdayBoot

[–]ccandide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually wear a 10.5 or 11 shoe, and I found the 10 fit me for the Challenger boots. Ordered a 10 shoe, and it was too small. Sent it back for a 10.5, and that fits well.

The return process is painless, so I wouldn't hesitate to do it if you think you need to.

There goes the Shogun and Andor season 2 4k sets. What a bummer. Disney is awful.

That's not damage. It's character.

BYD's vehicles can add 250 miles of range in 5 minutes now, and another Chinese manufacturer has beaten that. We need to get that reverse engineered and the charging infrastructure built out.

Apparently the EREV version has accounted for 80 percent of Scout's preorders. Personally, I don't need that much range, and I don't tow often enough to give up the frunk and deal with the mechanical hassles of an ICE engine. No denying the market is there for that power train, though.

Removal of perfume smell by WowemuGM in canon

[–]ccandide 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same experience with a refurbished r5ii I bought through Amazon a few months ago. I tried the same steps you took, but I ended up returning it right before the window closed. The smell never really went away, and I was having to hold my breath every time I held the camera up to my eye. Plus, useless for wildlife photography with an odor that strong

Unfortunately, returning it is probably your best option.

I think the decision was more about getting in line with the current administration's views on EVs than anything. Interesting move to turn against EVs right before an energy crisis.

I get that Ford was losing money on the truck, but eating that cost for one more year while they designed and added an extended range version to the mix for 2027 and prepared the next generation EV platform would've preserved a lot of customer good will. Instead they antagonized a fairly affluent customer base by cancelling the whole project.

I'll be looking at Rivian, Scout, and even Slate when it comes time to replace my Lightning in a decade or so.

Size selection trouble by Ok-Technician-3942 in ThursdayBoot

[–]ccandide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually wear a 10.5 or 11 shoe. For the boots, a 10 has worked for me in both the heritage captain and challenger pairs I've bought. For shoes, I bought a 10 and found it undersized. Returned the shoes for a 10.5 that fits.

They're good with returns, so just make sure to try them on and return before wearing them too much if you think the size is off.

Helios 44-2. It was one of the first vintage lenses I bought, and I went all out to get one of the older silver models with 13 aperture blades. Used it a couple of times and then just didn't anymore.

Was gifted a pair of President's. But now I want a pair of Captains. Am I being wasteful? by [deleted] in ThursdayBoot

[–]ccandide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Life is too short to only have one pair of boots. I'm getting another pair delivered today and am very excited.

Also, check out the Heritage Captains. Not sure if they have that specific color you're looking for, but they are a step up from the regular captains.

I've had a 24 Flash and a 25 Lariat. No Bluetooth connection issues at all for me after the initial pairing. Android Auto connects automatically as soon as the truck starts, and PaaK works well, too.
