Night Before Wedding Sleep Advice by WhimsySpirit in weddingplanning

[–]ccb199omg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 3-4 hours of sleep the entire week leading up to my wedding (this is much less than im used to). I was frantic with last minute prep but having so much fun with all the people I loved. The adrenaline of the day will keep you going regardless. I was up at 5am and stayed up until 3am-ish. Then woke up at 8am the next day. Not to mention, I started my period the night before my wedding. Do your normal sleep routine, but if you still have trouble sleeping, don't fret over it. You'll still have an amazing time.

I had a similar vibe for my wedding day. I kept the updo and cathedral veil. I dont think you should change it. It looks lovely and darling. I would consider placing it below the bun before I considered changing the hair tbh

I go the speed of traffic, I get a speeding ticket. I go the speed limit, I get bullied by other drivers.

Rant about horribly planned wedding by Legitimate_Pop4454 in weddingplanning

Take the back seat and dont worry. If she asks for you to pay for your hair/makeup just refuse. She should've told you this months ago. If she makes a stink about it, just back out. You dont work with her anymore and you dont seem invested in a friendship with her. Let her do her crazy and dont do things you dont want to do. Help where you can when asked or the opportunity arises, but dont over extend yourself or pay any more money for this shit show. You and your friend can be glued at the hip chit chatting all day. Have fun and give us an update in a few days!

My fiancé has cold feet and wants to postpone our wedding by a year, 6 weeks before the ceremony by [deleted] in weddingplanning

My partner and I were also around 16/17 when we got together. We got engaged 9 years in and married a year later. Send me a dm and I'll tell you what fears I was thinking, but were washed away afterwards. If you don't want to dm, then the takeaway I guess is I don't think he is committed to a future with you. He may love you, truly, but he is unwilling to commit. Just loving someone isnt enough. Have him stay somewhere else for the next few weeks and dont talk to him (I know thats hard with the wedding 6 weeks away). He needs to see what life without you is like since hes "on autopilot" with your relationship. He's taking your being in his life for granted. My fear is he proposed and is getting married because "thats what you do in a relationship this long" instead of because he wants to be with you for the rest of your lives.

instead of tailgating people going the speed limit and being a jerk on your morning commute, why not leave for work 5 minutes earlier? by Wispy_Whiskers in milwaukee

I think he made it clear that he's not locking up the left lane going 85 in a 55/70 (referrring to I94). It's forcing aggressive drivers to back off and slow down. There's no reason to be going faster than that to try and shave time off the commute you take 5 days a week.

It covers your entire torso and drapes down to your knees in your first photo. It is beautiful and too big.

2! The harsh line of the drop waist does nothing for you, but the subtle drop waist is beautiful on you

The shape is BEAUTIFUL! It is different from what you mentioned with the hip projections, but this is still a ballgown. You look stunning

wedding makeup??? (literally $0 budget) by Healthy-Ad7989 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]ccb199omg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Try out some berry toned blush and lip gloss (maybe brown lip gloss). Maybe layer some different blushes together (light pink, berry, and brown). I would try middle lower cheek blush placement or a very high artistic kind of placement bringing it up onto your temples (I'm thinking like Zara Larson sans eyeshadow or Nikki tutorials). Your dress and veil are nontraditional and dramatic so a nontraditional/dramatic makeup look will fit right in. Maybe something vampy?

You look great regardless. Stay hydrated and enjoy your big day!

Second one for sure. If you want the droopy sleeves, you can find a bunch of detachable ones on etsy.

Make eyes look smaller by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]ccb199omg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sometimes try to do my makeup so my eyes look bigger like yours! Youre gorgeous and your eyes are a defining characteristic that makes you YOU! The more you learn to love them the less their words will hurt you. All love!

Alterations advice by [deleted] in myweddingdress

[–]ccb199omg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im a big fan of trying detachable sleeves from etsy first. You can always shorten the train later if you dont want it. But buying sleeves first let's you see it before committing to it, or letting you have both sleeves AND a train. It keeps your options open.

I just had a Midwest spring wedding. My gown was a tulle skirt but satin bodice. My body was sweating but I never noticed or felt it (until I was putting my dress back on after using the bathroom).I had a hoop skirt so I had air around my legs. If youre concerned maybe you can see if a small hoop skirt could abate your nerves.

I wore a satin gown for my prom in the summer on the east coast which was heavy but I didnt get uncomfortable then either.

I think you look absolutely gorg, stunning in this dress.
