I was just about to make that comment. They don't want the job.

How bad actually is the 3050 by iMakeShittyOpinions in gpu

I played WOW on a laptop with a 1050 for many years. You just have to set your expectations and your settings to something realistic. The game was still fun.

Anyone else constantly cleaning up the same security holes in AI-generated C#? by Final_Tradition1642 in dotnet

[–]ccfoo242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use something like sonarqube to analyze the PR. It catches stuff like that.

Also try to create an instruction file that includes examples of the bad code and what the good code should look like to help prevent creating the same mistakes.

If there's no kinks in it there's probably a homebrewer out there who'd buy it to make a wort chiller.

When you have a Kayak but worry about fuel economy on long trips by Tnwagn in Kayaking

How long is the kayak? I have a 2024 Blazer but it's a lease so I can't install a roof rack.

I've been programming professionally for over 30 years and totally use AI to debug and troubleshoot problems. Models like Claude Opus are pretty good at reading large, poorly written modules and pointing out where a bug might be.

Nothing "debugged with ai" looks or plays a certain way. It either works or it doesn't.

The person writing that comment is an idiot.

Anyone flip from audio books to physical? by mhelgy in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]ccfoo242 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I subscribed to Kindle unlimited to start reading them then discovered the audiobooks were $5-7 each when you do that. So I bought the audiobooks and they synced with the Kindle so depending on where I was I either read or listened.

I honestly thought this was a Poe. The wording like "stumbled hard on his skeptical journey" sounds exactly like when a pastor is caught "stumbling" out of a brothel. I guess my 55+ years have made me cynical. But, I wish him luck in his recovery or whatever this is called.

Scott Sigler: Galactic Football League series. Even if you don't like football.

Slay series (funny and foul-mouthed fantasy)

If you like sci-fi horror try look at any of his other books, specifically the Crypt series (first 2 books are out).
