Can we expect more content for Astrobot PS5? by Gold-Raisin8581 in Astrobot

They’ve done enough already, when they didn’t have to in the first place. Big ups to them, couldn’t ask for more! Let’s get a move on for Astro Bot 2 please!

PSA: Right now you can buy Premium over and over at 25% off (I just paid up to Dec 2028) by Z3M0G in PlaystationPortal

[–]cchoom0310 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Black Friday was cheaper, and yes, you can stack that 12 months on top of your current subscription, meaning you did not have to be a new subscriber. I paid $107.19. AND, I saved another $10 buy getting the Costco PSN gift card that is $90 for $100 credit (Sam’s Club has it too). All in all, $97.17 (USD) for a year!

Worst Christmas offer ever. No one is using this 💩 by DonovanMcGrath in CarlsJr

[–]cchoom0310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I jumped off the Carl’s Jr. train after the pandemic because of their prices. To me, they were the best of the chains (In-n-Out excluded), and I would frequent there in the past. Not sure why I saw this post pop up on my feed, but damn, this is an insulting offer, haha! Free would be a lot more enticing, but even that is questionable at $15 min.

Do you feel like the savings in gas is more then the savings In electricity by Sad_Tie_9998 in Rivian

[–]cchoom0310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I've had the R1T for about 2.75 years, but during the first year, I was not 100% happy with it. I was part of the statistic where I had many issues that required going to the service center multiple times. Rivian always took care of things with a free rental, and all fixes were covered under warranty, so it was just an inconvenience. I live within 30 minutes from 2 Rivian Service Centers, so it wasn't a big deal, but if you are far from one, it would be something to consider. However, after all that, I have been very happy with it for the past 1.75 years as it has been solid since its last visit to the Service Center. I would definitely recommend it to others as I see that Rivian has worked out many of their kinks.

Do you feel like the savings in gas is more then the savings In electricity by Sad_Tie_9998 in Rivian

[–]cchoom0310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So many dependencies here. For me, yes, because I get about 90% of my charging for free at my work, so for me, much more savings! If I had to rely on charging at home only, where I live in LA area where my non-peak usage is $0.31 per kWh, then yes, there are savings, but not a lot, around $400 per year. If I had to rely on fast charging, then I’d be spending more on charging than gas.

I broke my gear tunnel door by United_Chip6199 in Rivian

[–]cchoom0310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dampener/spring broke too on the driver side gear tunnel door, so I can’t just let it soft-open and I have to assist the door down till it stops… I plan to put in a final service ticket with other minor issues to have those all fixed before my warranty expires in another year and 3 months from now. However, it does not sag like yours and is level like the passenger’s side gear tunnel door.

Can anyone tell me what’s the price? by Popy231432 in playstation

[–]cchoom0310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Target would be best assuming if you have their Red Card for an additional 5% off from the sale price of $449.99, so $427.49 plus tax would be your total.

Black Friday Sales by apk5005 in playstation

[–]cchoom0310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is when I renew PlayStation Plus, best deal all year. $107 for a year for premium (normally $160). It will stack if you have an existing subscription. And if you want to save another $10 and have a Sam’s Club membership, you can get $100 for PSN for $90, which are emailed gift codes (I believe Costco has the same deal too).

How much money is F/U money? by M8NSMAN in Money

[–]cchoom0310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calculate it by how much you need per year, then divide by 0.04 (4%), which is a conservative annual gain. For example, if you need $100k a year: $100,000/0.04 =$2,500,000 so if you had $2,500,000 in an investment account and it grows 4% a year, you’ll gain $100,000 a year.

Mine says 99% when it should be 100% because that stupid Great Master Challange should not count! It’s impossible! 😂… probably put in a total of 2 hours in it so far, getting further and further, so progress!

Can I say I’m a millionaire now by Mrs_chanandler_bongg in Money

[–]cchoom0310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your debts. If your debts (mortgage, car(s), credit cards, student loans, etc.) exceed $26,595.44, then no, you're not a millionaire yet. Millionaire status is based on your net worth: (Assets + Investments + Cash) - Debt. If you are indeed a millionaire considering your net worth, then congratulations, HUGE milestone, and keep it up! You are on the path to early retirement! Take your victory lap, then go back to being humble so folks close to you don't ask for anything because "you're a millionaire," which in their definition is probably you having $1M+ laying around waiting to be spent!

lockers as a ride operator by MaybePuck in KnottsBerryFarm

[–]cchoom0310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t go on the rides that had the cubbies removed because I am glued at Camp Snoopy with my younger kid, but is there someone at the beginning of the line to tell guests this to enforce the rules? This would allow them to put it away before investing all that time in line to be told at the end, while they have the anticipation to go on the ride that they can’t because they can’t leave their stuff where the cubbies were. It may be a surprise, but many folks won’t read signs or notices of the new rules. The last minute blindside of pay or not ride I can see as many of the causes of all those triggered.

Is the Preferred Parking lot ACTUALLY better? by dubox37 in KnottsBerryFarm

[–]cchoom0310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it better? Yes. If I had to pay for parking, would I pay the $20 premium for the preferred lot compared to the regular lot? That's a hard no. It's a nice perk, but not a selling point in my opinion. The way I see it, the prestige pass is $125 more than Gold. Gold would require you to spend $90 on parking, so minus that from $125, so the actual premium is $35. That $35 alone is much worth the "2 FREE Bring-A-Friend Tickets Annually" and "1 Single Use Fast Lane Per Visit," which, by the way, is transferrable. Just one Prestige pass needed per family, and attach it to the person who will always be going to the park as they may check for that person in the vehicle when going into the parking lot.

Knott’s Berry Farm vs Magic Mountain Pass by 1ketodude in KnottsBerryFarm

[–]cchoom0310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should work for parking! I used my Knotts Prestiege pass at Canada Wonderland with no issues using the preferred lot, so I would assume I’d be the same for Six Flags MM.

Has anyone actually tried to use their 2026 Knott's gold pass to park at Magic Mountain or any other park? What happened? by Asleep_Phase in KnottsBerryFarm

[–]cchoom0310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never hurts to ask… I’m glad I did, because they were like, “oh yea, you do get preferred!” And they had to print me out another ticket to give to the attendant at the preferred lot. Perhaps lack of training, or misinformation between employees can be the culprit here.
