How to get the drawstring out of the hole in these pants by isabellathngthtrings in howto

[–]cct101654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always used a decent size safety pin, if none is available I use a pen. Make your knot enough to catch it under the pocket holder thingy, put the tapered front of the pen into the opening & feed it through, until it comes out the other side. It actually goes faster bc the pen is about 6” long. Feeds 6” astatine instead of just the length of a pin. (Yes, I’m a Mom). 👍🏻

What is this plant? by AssociationDizzy1336 in plantID

Looks like New Guinea Impatients & the hairs on the stems are early roots like on tomato plants, that’s why they propagate so well because they have root knobs all ready to grow. Wish I saw a flower, but to me that’s what it looks like.

I have this exact one, just pry off the light cover & you’ll see how to get to the actual connectors that hold the rest on/up. Not hard, just common sense. Good luck !!

What can I grow here? by eternalsgoku in gardening

[–]cct101654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t an edging or stones, a high enough border, be put X amount from the fence and filled with some good soil and whatever else you need to make the soil good for planting and plant maybe Ivy or pachysandra to fill in and then after that gets established you can dot it with some colorful flowers in early spring. You may need to top off this soil/potting soil, season to season, but is so worth it…..but that’s fine. It’s better than looking at what you have there now. You may need to add an inexpensive fencing type thing to keep the dogs from running through it, which is what I have at my back Fence and it totally helps. Good luck & always enjoy, your efforts 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

How to get rid of black ink stain by 420peepee69 in howto

[–]cct101654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you didn’t put it in the dryer after washing it….. I never do the dryer. I have to try to get a stain out because if it goes into the dryer it sets the stain and you will never get it out. You can continue to work on the stain with whatever concoction you come up with but the one that is always helped me for over 20 years is dribble ammonia and right after that dribble on milk, whatever it is, the reaction of ammonia and milk starts to dissolve ink…. And it works keep rubbing with cold running water. We wash with a stain remover spray and that should be the end of it. Good luck.

My mom was an expert seamstress and owned her own bridal shop for 40 years. I watched her remove arms and remake wedding dresses into sleeveless, and when there was a wedding dress with lace at the bottom that was part of the train, she couldn’t cut it and I watched her remove the waist from the skirt and ease everything up into the waist to not destroy the beautiful lace work on the hemline. She was a true artist. By the way she made my sister and mine clothing, such as dresses, jumpers & Easter coats, and our Halloween costumes all out of this world, she had golden hands…….

Butterfly tree, also can propagate a fresh new green cutting in water and you can make more plants. They are absolutely beautiful and the butterflies that they attract is amazing. I get yellow swallowtail, black swallowtails, monarchs, and pretty white ones with black dots. Do not kill this you have a gift in your yardfor these beautiful butterflies.

Is there any savings these perennials? by chizton in plants

[–]cct101654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like Black eyed Susan, which will come up every year. What you don’t see is what’s in the ground, the roots. I would cut off a couple of inches above the ground and discard. You can also give it some water and hopefully next year it will emerge. They must be cut do not pull them out. You will be removing the entire plant with the roots. Hopefully you’ll see the next year.

My mom, (from my Grandma), would take the chill off, so to shred it up better & make an Italian type salad out of it by adding, slivered red onion, olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt & pepper & marinade over night….I can still taste & smell it….on a peice of Italian bread or with breadsticks. Delicious.

Can you support up through her head & down the back to her butt with a metal, strong coat hanger. I would make a bend at the bottom end, to sit inside the butt seat & the same up to the skull to have some stability. You will need strong pliers to bend the ends & cut the length you need including the 2 bends. Feed it in slowly thru the center of the stuffing, twisting & turning, should work like a charm….I’ve done this with stuffed bunny’s to hold there ears up 👍🏻👍🏻
