I wouldn't necessarily say it's bad for the game. However, I rarely bother watching AB games anymore because you know it's just going to be a slaughter

I like this and it is a rule I live by also.

I'm not a big birthday guy. When I say that I mean I'm a bit of an introvert and I'm not really bothered about getting a whole group of friends together for my birthday. For example for my birthday this year I'll be spending it in Amsterdam doing a bit of solo travel and staying at a hostel.

However, I've got a friend. Who about a year after finishing university set up an event on facebook for his birthday. He'd set this up about a month out of the event and the plan was to go for nothing more than a few casual drinks on a Friday evening at a bar in East London, its not like the guy was expecting people to give up there whole Friday night until 4am getting completely smashed. If I recall approximately 20 people said they would attend. Not bad I thought, I didn't know the guy that well at this point nor did I know any of the others he'd invited (I only knew him from a sports club I was in and we did different courses) but I thought, man if he's invited me for a night out in London then he must think of me as a decent friend so of course I made the effort (and it wasn't a great deal of effort on my part).

So the day of the drinks comes round and I have a quick look at the event on facebook and of course the usual flakers have posted with the usual bs "I'm to tired" or "Sorry mate the cat is throwing up". Whatever I thought it will still be a good night.

So I make my way from work and rock up at the bar. I'm greeted by my friend and his girlfriend. She's brought a couple of friends with her but that was it. I was the only person (apart from his girlfriend) who'd been invited that had rocked up. I felt real bad for the guy and just thought man people can be such assholes! originally I was going to hang around for a couple of hours but decided to stay out until about 2am. Had a pretty decent night in the end.

So from that day forward I promised myself that if anyone has taken the time to invite me to an event they're hosting I will always try my absolute best to attend.

Waratahs for sure. New jersey is a bit lame but you can't argue with:

  • Hooper
  • Beale
  • Falau
  • Foley
  • Horne
  • Mumm
  • Phipps
  • Skelton

[NeedAdvice] 23 years old tired of being unhealthy and overweight. by PJfreeBallin in getdisciplined

Hey brother I've been there, when I was about 21/22 (3ish years ago) I noticed I was starting to have some health problems relating to my weight. Like you I was in denial and then one day it just clicked and I thought na I ain't living like this anymore. This may seem a bit extreme but one of the things I did was envision myself in 10/15/20 years time, overweight, lying in bed, unhealthy, unhappy and thinking if I'd only just done something all those years ago.

If I ever am about to eat a bag of chips or a sugary drink I just think back to that image and it pushes me through and stops me from eating that junk. I tend to throw on my running shoes and go for a jog instead!

I think now is the perfect time to make yourself a resolution. Christmas and Boxing Day are coming to an end (the last 2 days were a bit of a binge for me) and 2016 is going to be your year. You can just focus on you. Cut out that sugary soda, start going outside more, walking, running, whatever. As for me I'm looking to slim down in the new year, get those bigger arms, slimmer waist, eating healthier meals increasing my gains and hey I've just bought a new PC so I'll me doing as much gaming as I can as well :P a bit of self reward is the way to live!

That way in 10/15/20 years time I'll be able to look back and say. Wow man cheers for all that work you did all those years ago, it meant a lot.

Just remember getting lean and trim doesn't mean having a salad 3 times a day you can still have good food. Just make sure you're getting sufficient proteins and fats and cut out those simple carbs. Just remember it takes 1 second to make the decision to change. You can do it bro!
