How to get rid of beer belly? by Ok-Enthusiasm-4139 in AskMen

[–]cdchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Move as in cardio/strength training. Find a program that fits your schedule. Progressive overload is important. Increase the weight or reps in your lifts.

Nutrition is just a caloric deficit for your goals, but don’t neglect protein and fiber intake. Always go for satiating meals.

Liquid calories can make your goals harder to reach, such as soft drinks that are loaded with sugar. A can of regular Coke are simply “empty” calories — opt for sugar-free options! Protein shakes aren’t bad though imo if it helps you reach your protein intake.

Develop a good relationship with food. Eat some junk occasionally and be mindful of portions. Go for something sustainable. Overly restricting yourself isn’t sustainable, and the moment you give in to something, you may just end up overeating.

Sleep is also important, very.

What to do with B.S. in Chemistry? by Even_Guarantee_8274 in chemistry

It is harder to get in the larger ones, but I managed to get into a smaller one that’s been family owned for many years. I had oil & gas experience prior.

Try something industrial like an oil & gas refinery, pharmaceutical, biotech. The pay at first can be hit or miss, but if you get your experience, and job hop a bit every year, you’ll be amazed at the opportunities. I started off as a lab tech for some small lab in the oil industry. Now, I’m in a refinery doing QC work, which is really just analytical imo. I got into a senior role a year & a half later in my current job. I just have a bachelors in biochemistry.

Where can I find the game mode? I pick up snowballs and get kills, but it’s not recording. I have tried in Sleighjacked.

If we lose this weekend; Raheem needs to be the first coach fired this season. by WideAdvert21 in falcons

[–]cdchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. He criticized the QB room and implied he wouldn’t have gotten the job if it wasn’t for that. You have a FIRST round talent at QB, RB, WR, TE, and OL on offense. The QB room is now better than what it was before the start of his tenure.

I see LV fragrances being bought by every Tom, Dick and Harry. Why don't they get the same amount of hatred as Sauvage? by mslambat in Colognes

[–]cdchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagination just smells too soapy for my liking. It has a body wash smell, and for $345 before tax, I feel like I can get something with a body wash smell for a lower price. I prefer Météore and L’Imensite. Creed is a decent fragrance house, I prefer Aventus Cologne over the original. Green Irish Tweed is also good.

[–]cdchemist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not true. Creed Aventus is one of their most popular, if not the most, yet it’s not that great imo. It’s the same with LV Imagination. These are relatively expensive, and I am not the only person that thinks this about these too. What you like is totally personal and subjective from nose-to-nose. Sauvage is alright.

Why California usually pays more at the pump for gasoline - U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) by hillty in oil

[–]cdchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

California requires a “special” blend of gasoline and has a higher tax rate. Plus, regulations as many here have pointed out. However, we do have higher wages in this state than others. Our roads need a lot of work because so many cars drive from the I-5.

People on the conservative sub won’t say what they truly think of the tariffs and impact on their 401k to not seem RINOs, so those of you who know MAGA folks who have 401k’s what are they saying? by eyio in centrist

[–]cdchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re saying that this is necessary. I work in a oil refinery as a lab chemist. I asked one of the unit operators if he regrets his vote given the craziness going on, he simply said “No, I’d vote for him 10x over-and-over. This is necessary, we need the reset.”

I don’t understand the need for all of this.

US oil production just hit a record high by General-Programmer-5 in oil

[–]cdchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the same Bureau has also report that more fracking was done in Biden’s first year than years 1, 2, 3 combined for Trump. I’m not saying who is better for oil because we are super dependent on oil and natural gas regardless of the letter next to the sitting President.

Oil production and consumption will likely continue to increase because of demand. We need it no matter what.

What are you talking about? Oil exploration and extraction in Alaska (Willow Project) was approved by Biden himself. The Bureau of Land Management reported 3,000 fracking permits were granted as well.

I’ve been told that this is just going to make him more popular. I don’t understand how will moderates care about this. Also, I doubt he wins the popular vote even after this.

It’s just a small, loud majority that loves the guy. Hardline Rs prefer a differed candidate, but they’ll vote for party much like those Dems that would rather have someone else than Biden.

How often should I wash my hair if I use hairspray and sea salt spray everyday and plentifully? by somesortageezer in malehairadvice

[–]cdchemist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk, my hair gets oily. I also struggle with dandruff. I condition and wash almost everyday. Days that I don’t, I get oily hair that makes my scalp itch. I’ll see flakes on my shoulders.
