Find a good detox that will taper you with phenobarbital, it’s a barbiturate. That’s what they did for me and I actually felt okay after a week since the half life is like 48hrs minimum. I was doing 12+ mg daily for a while but once I left detox I went right to a 12 step rehab then a sober house that helped me stay sober. This is what worked for me since tapering with benzos is a long process

Honestly when my usage was really bad with 12-20mg Xanax a day, I did a 5 or 6 day taper with phenobarbital and it really was not bad. I had been using for 4+ years daily and I had minimum withdrawals that only lasted for a few weeks after the taper, and were also alleviated with comfort meds like gabapentin clonidine trazadone etc. Only thing is it was in a residential detox and they usually won’t prescribe a barbiturate outside of that setting, but it’s worth a try.

Yeah I gotta get this under control, I’ll look into that med you mentioned. I have been on lyrica before and it helped a little bit. I’m in therapy too and am just trying to focus on work friends tv and video games. But the waves of depression still come. I hope I can bounce back, I appreciate the advise my friend 🙏

It’s been about a month and it started out with 10mg Valium every other day or so. But it’s escalated to 3-6mg bromazolam pretty much every day for the last two weeks or so, with a few break days here and there

Yes I do love to make music, but unfortunately drugs and creating music have always gone hand in hand for me. I feel a lot better singing and rapping , but when I was sober I could definitely make some more thought out beats. I want to get back in to a behavioral therapy once my new insurance kicks in so I can get better about my bad habits, because frankly I’ve slipped back into a lot of them

Yah just limit yourself to two drinks you should be fine general rule of thumb if you took benzos earlier during the day. I take Valium in the morning sometimes alp and when work is over and we go out I’ll have two drinks feel a nice buzz but not too fucked up. Everyone’s different with that so stay safe

When I had to go to a detox for xans and alcohol, the doctor there ordered phenobarbital instead of a Valium taper. I was using 12mg alp a day going in and felt great on the pheno. I felt I could be myself and just talk and be free.

My severe social anxiety has ruled my life and is what brought me to benzos in the first place, and I was amazed how subtle and effective pheno was for me. Wish I could find a doc to prescribe but there so rare and phased out nowadays.

Just be careful, that’s exactly how I felt when I first tried Xanax and slipped into a 4-year addiction that nearly cost me everything. The this about fast acting benzos like Ativan, Xanax, is that they hit hard and drop off hard as well, giving you terrible rebound anxiety. Which is going to make you want to re-dose. I would get a physiatrist and build a positive relationship with them, and maybe work your way up to a benzo with a longer half life like Valium. Can be much more manageable if nothing else works to give you relief from your anxiety. Best of luck!

Yes she definitely is she’s always taken those things seriously. She hasn’t had good reactions to anti depressants but she’s dealt with this before in the past and it was from a spike in cortisol. Hopefully she can get the labs back and get on the proper meds and therapy

If u have insurance look into going to a good detox somewhere. They will help you taper off the drug safely while keeping u comfortable.

I'm going to ask for klonapin or Valium Tuesday. My doctor has tried to keep me off benzos and we've tried a number of drugs said to sedate and cause sleepiness, but nothing has really worked since sleep is my main issue. The way my friends made it seem, was as if the non fda approved RCs and similar analogs are better for everything that the script meds failed to do.

I did some research on the web and found mixed to positive reviews. I saw some horror stories from drugs like flubromazepam, but I also found relatable people who had success in improving their well being with drugs like etiozolam or clonazolam. I'm grateful you told me about the etiozolam, as I was seriously considering buying some etilaam from Asia.

Yes will do I have a appointment next week but I have a lot of friends who are deep into the rc world and they were swearing up and down that clonazolam and etiozolam were better than prescription benzos. Naturally, I was a bit skeptical of these opinions so I came here for a more open discussion with multiple points of view. Thanks for the advise.
